MikeB4: @technofreak Your arguments regarding bags are similar to the nonsense pushed by the NRA in the US such as “gun don’t kill”. Your use of “woke” was along the same lines of the NRA’s BS.

any chance of dialing it back a bit ?

Just to quote you from 2018….

”I have been guilty of breaking these “rules” as have many others, I propose we self police the tone of posts we make here and post having regards to the FUG and common courtesy. We should debate the issues not attack the individual, respect that others have different views and beliefs and respect they are entitled to present those.  It is okay to be different, it is okay to disagree. It is not okay to be rude and denigrating to those who think differently. “

wow.  So righteous!

Which is his right to be. Some defend gun nuts, some defend the National Party, and others defend the Labour Party. Mike decided to defend the planet. Good on him.

Clueless fair weather fans and band wagon jumpers.

“We’re the best in the world, everyone else is useless” or “we suck we are awful they are all useless.”

Some good news to follow up - KMart had both my items when I turned up yesterday. So definitely doing it that way again - click and collect FTW! 👍

This annoying animated popup that Mighty Ape added to its site a while ago. HEY! HEY! LOOK AT ME! You can set your location here! Never mind that you're already logged into your account and your location's already set, but hey! Hey!

MikeB4: @technofreak the litter issue in Aotearoa has many causes, laziness, ignorance, poorly designed rubbish bins, lack of rubbish bin, waste collection services, windy climate, seagulls, the incredibly stupid amount of needless packaging so on. Your arguments regarding bags are similar to the nonsense pushed by the NRA in the US such as “gun don’t kill”. Your use of “woke” was along the same lines of the NRA’s BS.

Sports results posted on the front page of mainstream media.

Personally, I'd like to see them make it require at least 1 click to see the result for 2 hours post-match or whatever.

Sports results also shouldn't be front-page news.

My back.

Lifted some very heavy bags of stones (this is why I don't do gardening). Back has given out.

I had a slipped disc (or as it's now known a bulging disc) about a decade ago. Feels like I have done that again.

Have spent the best part of the long weekend on Tramadol to get me through. Not ideal.

As someone who suffered severe back issues since I was 12, through to my early 30's and having spend in excess of 30K on various quacks to try and resolve it, you have my full sympathy.

I can put my back/neck/etc out, simply by drying my hair with a towel without activating my core.

The best thing I ever did for my health was see a musculoskeletal specialist who got xrays and MRI's done (not a single quack ever did that before). I am not referring to medical doctors as quacks, just some of the auxiliary services who sell black magic to fix stuff.

A core program at Bodytech took me from unbearable pain for 4-5 days every 6 weeks like clockwork, to perhaps 1 instance every 2 years or so since.

Not saying it will help you specifically, but strong core muscles certainly have many many positive advantages.

Just tried to download a Microsoft product from Microsoft's site using a Microsoft browser. It decided to rename the file from .vsix to .zip (silently) and then left me hopelessly confused about what I was supposed to do with the mess of files inside that archive.

Wanted to check and possibly update the balance on my Snapper card for an upcoming trip to Wellinchurch and got:

Following a failed cyber-attack in May 2021, Snapper has disabled the Accounts section of the website until the introduction of a new accounts section.

May 2021! It's been over a year and they can't roll a new web site?

And yes, I know there's an app for that somewhere, but I already have one app for every single transport system I use, and in the case of some countries three or four apps, all incompatible and with different degrees of nonfunctionality, I really don't want yet another one.
