Then having to change reoccurring charges etc! (Internet etc)

For that, it's useful to keep a list somewhere of all the places where you need to update your credit card in case it gets rolled over, which turns it from a major pain into a minor chore.

Also, consider whether you really need to have your card stored everywhere it is stored. If you only make a few purchases a year there, uncheck the "Remember my card" box.

Good hint re the list.

Only have it stored at 2 places (Supposedly reputable and have reoccurring charges). Religiously un-check the store card option.

This is why I dont use it on sites that self host the form and prefer to use paypal or afterpay or zip or something that sits between me and a merchant as a safety buffer with places like that.

Doesnt help that some marketing wanks think that keeping people on your own domain is a good thing for branding and encourage the use of iframed payment providers.

That Convinicence products are now offered specifically for high-class restaurants. No one should believe that in a first-class restaurant no ready-made products are used. The share of all restaurants, including those with stars, is already around 80%. It is always justified with a lack of qualified staff and time. On the other hand, there are complaints from willing apprentices who are deprived of the necessary knowledge to prepare something themselves by the chef's use of ready-made products. The result is a general average grade of "sufficient" for cooks. The grade "very good" could only be given to 1.5%. Professional cooks who can only tear open packages and heat them? I don't need them - I can cook myself.

Why would you want to reduce your limit?  I'm genuinely curious - I don't know what my credit limits are and never exceed them but I pay mine off every month

A higher limit on your credit card reduces the amount you can borrow for your mortgage.

Maybe. Not really if you have adequate income though.

Just got back from my daily walk. On the way up the hill was a car parked on the footpath (and there's no grass verge to either side so going around it necessitates stepping onto the road). Half an hour later I'm almost home and I see the same car blocking the footpath just outside my house. Turns out it's a council candidate or associate dropping the "vote for me" pamphlets in all the letterboxes. Not a great first impression!

If you do that here, they come at best 1 in 10 times!

Do the School Restricted Parking Hours average once a year, so everyone ignores them!

Even saw a Bus dropping students on the Yellow Lines on an S-Bend outside the empty and open School Bus Bay!

If nothing else, you could take a photo of it and post it on that candidate's Facebook page 😬

Hopefully he didn't take out the neighbourhood internet while there though 😀
