Mobo makers who seem to add fewer and fewer expansion slots to their boards.

Amen. Add peripheral manufacturers which don't make internal cards any more.

AliExpress companies rorting the shipping costs. All of a sudden, I'm seeing stuff at half the normal price, but with 10 times the shipping cost. So now it's hard to find a good price, with the list polluted by all the fake low prices. e.g. $25 for a 1kg bottle of resin, plus $95 shipping.

Why can't AliExpress show me the *total* cost of buying an item? I'd only care about purchase price and shipping cost if I was combining shipping.

People who play clips/selfies/videos loudly on their smartphones in the underground.
People who impose their stupid phone call on the entire environment with the loudspeaker on.
People who just park their rented e-scooters on pavements, driveways and private property.
People who let their dogs defecate in the street without cleaning it up afterwards.
People who suddenly stop in front of you in an exit to type on their smartphone instead of taking a step to the side.

People who don‘t care.

Log into Hertz. Get a notice that "your drivers licence is expired."

Go to profile, enter a new number/expiry and hit [UPDATE].

Get an "Error updating records. Try again."

Tried again, five or six times. Same crap.

A higher limit on your credit card reduces the amount you can borrow for your mortgage.

Maybe. Not really if you have adequate income though.

Usually any debt (including available credit) is deducted from your deposit. So if you're at 20% but a 10K empty credit knocks you under it, it doesn't really matter what your income is.

Actually it could have changed. It's ten years since I worked at a bank and I had one credit card at the time of my mortgage application.

The number of Fuel Station c*ckups lately where the wrong fuel is put in the underground tanks, then not "noticed" for hours until seemingly enough motorists are stopped in their tracks and complain etc!

BP is scrambling to contact Christchurch motorists impacted by a bowser botch up - that's meant drivers filling up with 91 at Russley Road, instead got diesel in their tanks

It applies to customers buying Regular 91 at the station near Christchurch Airport from Monday night until Tuesday morning.

(From NZCity....TVNZ / TV3 / Stuff / NZHerald Don't appear to have it yet!)

surely you would have a different hose connection on the tank to stop this happening.

They are just holes in the ground that the tanker connects to. It would be logical for them to do this.

Friend filled up once and his car was running like trash and we were sure they had put 91 in the 98 tank but they denied it.

That's what I would have thought too, at chemical plants they have physically incompatible connectors and bright colours on different lines to try and reduce the chances of someone feeding the wrong thing into the wrong line.

The delivery truck tanks aren't limited to specific products. In some cases where diesel storage tanks are directly connected to an ignition source they are refilled by tankers carrying only diesel on that day.

That's bad, but nowhere near as bad as putting Petrol in a Diesel tank. Though, they would have noticed a lot quicker I suppose.

That I can’t get any response from the company managing Samsung’s trade in program despite half a dozen emails.

Articles like this

Long story short, people are annoyed that there is no check and balances system against the name of a bank account. IE to prevent someone depositing money in the wrong account because they got a digit wrong in the account number. I mean it makes sense but I can just imagine what an actual pain it would be.

I want to put money in someone's account, I have the number correct, I use the name they gave me and it doesn't work. My partner is a good example, she's Scandinavian, uses her second middle name as her first name, so am I going to put that name in?

I can imagine someone's frustration trying to put money in Aunt Beryl's account when it turns out the account was in a joint name like John David Smith and Beryl Hyacinth-Smith and it won't go through.

I've done it with the name check system in the UK. It adds no issues like you're saying. It simply warns you the name does not match the account you're putting money into and makes you check a box saying you're sure this is the account you want to transfer to.
