We got a bit of KFC yesterday I struggled to identify what part of the bird, it was so small. I am sure it was the size of a pigeon leg.

OTOH, sort of. Same mailer has Terrys Chocolate Orange. That'll definitely make me smile several times this week...

KFC

Are you sure this shouldn't be in the small things that annoy you?

Also... KFC.

It's in the smile thread, I don't feel he's annoyed by it.

Depends, was it from the Killarney Rat branch, the Estuary Duck branch, or the Onewa Cat branch? The, uh, "bird" types differ from location to location.

Had another call this afternoon from a Visa card scammer. I pressed 2, yes, I am okay with that transaction. It doesn't actually make any difference what you press, either option gets you the scammer on the phone. I have discovered that if I give answers that are not in their script, they get completely confused and don't know how to respond. I say yes, I approve that $1800 transaction, the more Amazon gift cards, the better. Unfortunately, the scammers have learned from experience. I used to be able to waste their time for 20 minutes or more, but now they bail as soon as things get difficult.

LOL.We had KFC at Lake Tahoe one year. Wow, huge legs, awesome mashed potatoes (which is common there, seasoning, yum) Get back here and its small, dry.  Every now and then (less and less) I feel like KFC, yum yum, always disappointed. Its always a good idea, its usually a lesser result. You'd expect the opposite , a tourist area isn't interested in repeat customers, yet they do it well.

And the restaurant in Cape Verde Arizona. Run by native Americans, food was amazing, Chicken Fried Steak and mash, you could eat in the bathrooms, it was superb.

Granddaughter who I figured no longer believed in Santa this year because she interrogated me last Xmas about if he was real or not, FaceTimed me from Sydney. Said mummy was putting up a Christmas tree next week. I said we wouldn’t bother this year since she wasn’t going to be here to decorate it for us. Her eyes grew wide and she said, 'but where will Santa leave the presents?' Made me smile at her innocence and I thanked her for reminding me of this important fact and backtracked quickly. I miss her so much.

I just don't know why anyone would want to eat their mash in the bathrooms.

Could you not eat it at the table? Is that a cultural thing?

Hopefully won't be long before you can over-love her like all good grandparents should!

I think you're being generous. Kids may not strictly believe in 'the man' but as long as the goodies keep coming, why upset a good thing?

Like all parents I tried to keep the illusion going as long as plausible without going overboard. At a christmas party I was amused to hear my oldest say to the youngest "you know it's a man in a suit right?".

The oldest has now grown into a right little cynic - makes me smile.

Outside doing some rehab exercises between rain showers and noticing a Tui less than a meter from me in our Kowhai tree. Magic. I wish I had my camera on me.
