Handsomedan:

The sheer volume of overseas spam calls I am getting lately on my mobile!

Yep, getting at least 6 every day at the moment, always different mobile numbers, I've stopped answering my phone unless it's a number which comes up with a name.

I'm also getting them on my work mobile which I can't ignore because most of the calls I get are from numbers I don't recognise.

The council proposed some yellow no-parking lines up my street and there was a lot of feedback and debate. Eventually they sent out a letter saying they were going to put fewer lines down and included a map of where they were going to go.

Last night, after dark, they sneaked out and painted lines in the original (long) area.

Someone needs to sneak out tonight and blackout the lines to match the map that they sent out.

Gurezaemon:

My son's school trip a few years back had a bag of these passed around the minibus. Results were reportedly "hilarious".

They'll be using a sugar substitute like sorbitol, maltitol, or mannitol, you can get that effect from anything that uses those and that people will be tempted to eat a lot of.

Had an order from Pizza Hutt delivered.  The last order update txt message said: "Your order xxxx-xx... is arriving at your address. Please have a safe place off the ground to put your order if it is a Contactless order" to which I didn't pay much attention as I didn't select contactless.

Doorbell goes off and I'm looking through the security screen going, OK, where's the driver?  Open the door to find the pizza dumped on my cold front door step with the driver already halfway to his car.

The Brazilian government has fined Apple for not complying with a law that says a charger must be included with a phone. The "Apple can do no wrong" forum crowd has responded with comments about how it's a stupid fine, that everyone already has a charger, etc.

It annoys me that people are actually cheering on a company for wilfully breaking the law.

I can honestly say I have never, ever, had a spam call on my mobile in - what - 20 years of mobile ownership?

One person here is reporting “at least six every day”. Why this huge disparity? Is a fix as simple as changing your mobile number?

Package from Amazon AU - from Sydney early in the morning to doorstep at noon the next day with free (apparently) postage.

Annoying because, as I've mentioned earlier (frequently) other 'services' can't deliver stuff from Oz dispatched on 2nd August.

I know I'm sounding like a broken record, but at least I'm good at something...

Job ads that laud benefits like bonuses, superannuation and health insurance but give no indication of base salary.

It's all moot if the bottom line isn't right.

"Freelance work in eastern European country, all travel and accommodation expenses covered, full medical coverage and generous payouts to your next of kin, ability to follow basic orders in Russian essential", was that the one?
