Mine only took about a day. The tracking details for my recent order are below. I presume yours was or maybe still is at number 4. If you're outside Auckland I guess it may take 1-2 days more. You're right that it will depend on customs I imagine, if yours takes a while to process for some reason, then it may take long. Possibly 1 day is when you get lucky and they aren't very busy.

Agree. So I paid the postage at the same day when I received the email. If there was a coupon, I could save only 4-8 dollars. Not worth it. It's just me or the postage of youshop has gone up? A pair of boots for $41 dollars? Kind of pricy and out of my expectation.

The postage often ends up costing as much as the shoes..
The only way to avoid this is to use a postal remailer with repackaging, I did this with shipito a page or two back, and detailed the cost difference and what was involved.

Yeah I think the prices have gone up. Used to cost $30ish to ship a pair of shoes. Last time I tried it ended up being $50.
According to the FAQ - pricing for single parcels has not gone up since launch
International postage is calculated as NZD$12.50 per parcel, plus NZD$4.75 per 500g. The minimum chargeable weight is 500g and is charged in 500g increments thereafter. The chargeable weight of your parcel will be based on the greater of its actual weight or volumetric weight (charged in 500g increments)
Very annoyed. Thought I would use consolidation to save some $$ however didn't save a cent. Both packages are 1.8kg volumetric and work out $31.50 each or consolidated $63 (i.e. no saving at all). Major pain in the butt. If I had of known this I would have had one of the parcels sent direct cause now I have spent $2-3 more than I would of direct shipping.

No repackaging for my order. I didn't see an option for that to be requested? The last order I did was repackaged without asking me (which is fine by me) and saved $10 or $15 from memory.

Youshop repackaging is merely referring to the postal box or bag your goods are in. This does not always make a decent difference. Especially in the case of two shoe boxes. You will receive the shoe boxes, as they do not touch the shoes boxes.
The real volumetric win is proper repackaging, as offered by shipito. This discards the shoe boxes, takes the shoes and puts them all together (in my case four shoes from two boxes) in a packing box that can be smaller than either one of the original new balance shoe boxes. This made a tremendous difference in my case, that youshop can't even hope to match until it offers a similar service. But as far as I can tell, they contract their service from singapore post and are likely reliant on what singapore post offer.
If your packages suit proper repackaging, as multiple pairs of shoes do, then I thoroughly recommend shipito. There's some hoop jumping, but in the long run, the savings are worth it.
So consolidation cant really save your money, it's just another way that nzpost rip you off by stopping offering multi parcel discount? I am mad at nzpost right now.....
