There are language where double negatives are OK, emphatic negation, including African-American Vernacular English: "That ain't none of your business" or "I couldn't care less."

Anyhow, a lawyer doing this does sounds stupid.

Double negatives were common in written and spoken english prior to the 18th cent. Someone wrote a book of rules at that point and tried to ban it. In practice the usage continued.

Anyhow, a lawyer doing this does sounds stupid.

It's either a lawyer having some fun or an nz herald transcription error. ; ).

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Going from bad to worse for the Herald - some genius there decided it would be a good idea to entirely redesign the Android app. It looks like crap now, way too busy. At least the old one was compact.
Of course, they have a gushing story about "how great it is" and probably how everyone in the world loves it, and blah blah blah...

Had an online chat just now:

Me: after approximately a minutes usage in landscape mode it rotates to portrait mode and will not revert. You have to restart the app. So it is not holding the selected rotation.

CCC: We have been advised of a bug issue with the rotation on some of our users Apps, this has been addressed with our Technical Team who are working on an immediate fix.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Anybody had more than enough of this page? I had it on the 2nd headline on the front page, main headline in business, 2nd & 4th in sport. Pathetic coding. If the article is not available, populate your array without it. Simple “If, If Not, If Not If” front end code.

Which intermediate school does NZME use to do their coding? Do they pay the kids? Or is it an introduction to internships?
