Sellers do that incase it doesnt arrive, and they claim on the parcel they get more back then they have to pay you out.

Has anyone had any problems with sending alkaline watch / button batteries via YouShop, in particular LR44? In theory these should be fine, but I wonder if Youshop has a tendency to classify all button batteries as lithium even those which aren't. The other issue is that NZ Post says non lithium batteries need to be packed seperately (unlike with lithium-ion batteries where it's the opposite). This is problematic if the item comes with a battery already installed, as a lot of stuff does. (At least this means they shouldn't complain about spare batteries.)

I'm thinking of getting a Hexbug Nano v2 (which after 2 years or something are still only available from direct importers like Fishpond) toy and Amazon doesn't have what I want but I don't want to have Youshop decide they can't ship my order.

Anyone know what the delay between packages arriving at youshop and them notifying you at the moment? Their website says they're busy. Hopefully they get to NZ in time for xmas, which should be a pretty safe bet you'd think.

Guessing with Thanksgiving and all the sales happening at USA stores, the warehouse is overloaded.
Currently taking around 2-3 days for a parcel that has been delivered to show up in my parcel list (and to receive the notice it has arrived) and also a few days longer than normal for the parcel to leave the warehouse on its journey to New Zealand

All my amazon black friday ones have popped up on shipito now. Just have to figure the best way of consolidating them to ensure gifts are here in time.

I had 2-3 days from Amazon noting as delivered to being notified by Youshop.

That was just before Black Friday so may be slower atm.

I was just notified of one parcel that was delivered to youshop between 36 and 48 hours is now available on my account, so that answers my question. Fingers crossed the turnaround stays at that level or better.

All my Amazon parcels showed up on the list a couple of hours after Amazon notified me of delivery complete - and most landed in NZ only three or four days after payment.

I have one parcel coming from France though that arrived in London on Thursday morning their time and I haven't received anything yet three days later (and it's not in the list either)... I really want this to appear soon so it can be on its way before it's too late...

Anyway, my parcel showed up in the UK warehouse after five days of having the delivery confirmation... Paid my UK parcel on Tuesday morning our time but it is still at the warehouse "Ready for dispatch".

Does anyone have experience with the UK warehouse? Do they ship out once a week only, or something like this?

Out of interest, what items have people found that tend to be heavy rather than bulky? I.E. items were weight is higher than volumetric weight. Some of the stuff I expected to in May didn't turn out that way. (Well one did but only by a small amount.)

Obviously this depends on the packaging and the big box problem means even stuff which should may not but I'm wondering what items are often like that. You'd need something dense which isn't particularly fragile. I guess weights, bricks and concrete but they aren't the sort of thing you're that likely to ship via YouShop. Except perhaps small precise weights (well I have no idea, but I imagine they may be the sort of thing which can be very expensive in NZ but cheap in the US). But if you aren't getting a lot of them, may not add up to much. Perhaps HSFs although again if you aren't getting a monster or a lot of them, may not add up to that much.

Had some consolidated parcels arrive over the last few months
First was a bag (like those sold by NZ Post) in which all my boxes were put in, then I had larger boxes in which my other boxes were placed in.
- these options work well

The box that arrived yesterday however was the same size as the previous larger boxes but was too small for the all the other boxes to fit into.
So they just used one piece of tape to hold the larger box to the top parcel and then stuck the consolidated parcel label on the top parcel.

I've already complained as at any point in transit, the tape could have broken causing the smaller parcels at the bottom of the parcel to become separated from the rest
