Sadly it's not a one off issue, I've tried many times :)

I just suck at growing stuff. Except Kids. The kids are growing like weeds.

The problem is you're feeding them too much and not working them hard enough.
Ten hours a day down the mine six days a week, and two meals a day: that'll fix your problem
🤣🤣🤣

When I was a boy we had to walk barefoot underground on frozen lava for 14 hours to do 12 hours underground. Kids these days don't know how good they have it.

Sounds like you had it easy. Our walk was uphill in both directions!

Putting them to work cleaning chimneys also helps.

Goodbye and good riddance Adobe!

I got tired of paying Adobe hundreds/year for Photoshop.

They are also very sneaky about their "monthly" subscription. It's actually a yearly contract / 12. When you cancel they charge you a cancelation fee.

I also don't like that Adobe plants all kind of software running in the background, especially in the task scheduler, including anti-piracy software.

I know it's trivial but it annoys me that Adobe always puts Adobe Reader icon on the desktop every time it updates. So I uninstalled that too.

I found this free software called Gimp, which has enough features for me. It reminds me of Photoshop 7

https://www.gimp.org/

It works on all O/S.

Here's a tutorial

Behodar:

"When your order ships, we'll send you an email with more details."

The "details" ended up being "Your order has shipped."

After three days and no delivery I emailed and asked for the tracking number, and 24+ hours later it has yet to be provided.

For anyone interested in "closure", the package arrived after four business days. The request for a tracking number was apparently completely ignored. (Edit: I'd forgotten about the floods when I wrote that; they're based in Auckland so I'm prepared to give the benefit of the doubt there).

Coming home from the store with a brand new external HDD and finding it dead on arrival. Well, not quite dead, It does connect and it is recognised but it take over 30mins to copy a 2MB file to it! Multiple formats and repairs and no improvement.

Now I have to go back to PBtech and fight with some 16yr old who's going to try to tell me that I'm doing something wrong.

By "external" do you mean USB? If so, try different everything related to USB: Cables, drivers, different PC, etc. That's what they're going to ask you about.

Post Haste “tracking”.

Tells me the parcel was picked up on Thursday. Apparently it is still in the courier van. No further entries in the “tracking”.

I rang them today.

The “Inter Island 2 Day Service” will take from Thursday last week until Wednesday this week, apparently.

And yet I sent a box up to Auckland via NZ Couriers (which admittedly cost $190 to send) and it arrived next day.

There’s no rhyme or reason - or consistency- to these services.

I 100% refuse to use subscription software.

The data I create with software is 100% mine, no one else's.

To be blackmailed into paying a subscription just so I can access my own data angers me, ALL data should be based on open file formats.

If you produce the best software and charge for that, I may indeed buy it, but when you are not, I will shift , my data stays mine.

So I have dumped various software that I used to use because of the subscription model.

I don't know what your requirements are but I find that Photopea handles a lot of my common day-to-day image editing needs. It runs in your browser and is free.
