And they are all out alive according to multiple reports.

The unbelievable bravery and persistence and selflessness of all those involved in this rescue defies belief. Heroes every freaking last one of them!

Many people involved will never be named or recognized, which is a shame.

Special mention should be made for the people who went in and refused to leave till all souls were rescued.

Some days I get a glimmer of hope for humanity. It's a shame we don't see more of it.

Apparently, doctor and Seals are out now as well! What an amazing job.

Apparently there is one american in the international team, he is a former Navy Seal. Hollywood will make the movie focus on him. Scarlett Johansson will play his love interest.

But in all seriousness it is great that all of the team and the rest of the rescuers are out safely. Full respect to the man who gave his life to help bring everyone else home safe.

I read there were no divers that were American, but some were there. I'd like a movie made "correctly", no Hollywood extra antics. Pay royalties to a trust of the 13 (to use their names) that can be used for them, their families and their community. The culture there will use the funds well

The Australian doctor stands out to me:

"Australian doctor Richard Harris, who is also an expert cave diver and whose presence was requested by British divers participating in the mission, played a critical role in the rescue operation on all three days.

Harris had swum all the way through the cave each day – about 3.2km – to the trapped Thai soccer players and given medical sign off for each boy before an evacuation was attempted.

Each day, he would only leave the cave after the last boy had left."

The last two came out after I went to bed but would like to add my congratulations and joy at the result. This was an outstanding example of people working together to be their very best. The divers and their support teams are heroes. The kids are heroes. The man who died, especially, is a hero. All were prepared to give their lives. All heroes. If only we all could be more like that. Very well done and an excellent result, in spite of the tragedy.

Whilst I am as curious as the next person about all the details, I feel the right thing to do for the kids and the families and their communities is for the press to pack up and leave, and for the kids to be cared for and then returned to their families and homes and to be left alone. Have supports in place if the kids need counselling etc.

No book deals, no movies, no endless exposure to cameras, no intrusuions into their lives. No Elon Musk giving them a Telsa each, or Apple giving them Ipads and Iphones. What happened was both tragic and amazing, but if not for that event, they would continue their lives as normal. I forsee "fame" having a negative overall impact on these kids and their communities, even if the fame provides them with more resoures (money etc).

Sadly, I don't think that will happen.

My office manager is a huge football fan and given the kids aren't going to be fit to travel, has offered to make the ultimate sacrifice and go in their place.

LOL. The poor kids can't go because the medics say they aren't well enough. I'd say the kids beg to differ. Having toughed it out in a dark damp cave for 2 weeks I'd say they're now tougher than anyone realises.

Yeah, it's a shame for them. Perhaps the rescuers including that Australian Doctor will need to go with them as he did for the past 17 days, to keep them safe! Guy deserves it for sure.

Can they not go? I heard some are already with families as cleared from fungus inhalation. So, they need building up, or more than that?
