I do know, because it's in your public profile :)

You might want to edit that (https://www.geekzone.co.nz/upd_user.asp) if it's supposed to be a secret!

Herald website, headline just now:

’Abhorrent’: Native seabird reportedly with crossbow.

So, the birds have dropped their wings and taken up arms.

I bet this reporter is feeling a bit stink after proudly claiming this 4 days ago.... I wonder if we will get an update- I doubt it....

Coronavirus: The pros and cons of cancelling my trip to Europe

But now I've reached the point where I have to eat my words, swallow my pride, and say I'm not going anymore. Not just to Italy, but to Europe at all.

Liam Napier: Could fortune be turning for the Blues?

"Last week the Blues benefited from a red card to Hurricanes prop Tyrel Lomax in the 46th minute of their victory in Wellington. The Hurricanes led 8-7 at the time, and imploded through ill-discipline to being left with 12 men."

Liam Napier seems to have forgotten which code the Blues play. Either that or he's tragically bad at math.

No, his maths is correct, but his explanation was wrong (well, incomplete). Subsequent to the red card there were two yellow cards, which meant at one stage the Hurricanes only had 12 players on the field.

HDA article in the Herald today painting today's travel restrictions as a political ploy. FFS tanking the economy is a great idea for a sitting government.

The mind boggles.

Ridiculous sour grapes. If she really believes what she’s written, she should put her money where her mouth is, and just go. Do us all a favour.

For flip's sake Stuff.  Three weeks of articles saying 'no need to hoard', 'don't go and panic-buy', 'leave some for other people'

Nek' minnit:

https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/health/coronavirus/120420838/coronavirus-family-of-12-ready-for-three-months-survival

(Note that I'm not criticising the family who are the subject of this article, good on them.  Having a dig at Stuff for publishing this now knowing full well that certain people will interpret this as , oh sh**, I do not to stock up on everything.)

Not good on them. They are doing exactly what people are being urged not to do. Thanks to them and others like them, people in real need may be deprived of supplies they actually need. This isn't clever; it is selfish. I do agree with your comment about Stuff publicising this.

Sorry I should have been clearer and my choice of words could have been better.  The family in the article haven't just gone and raided the supermarket, they've built up their stockpile over 15 years.  If that gives them comfort and assurance then I won't hold that against them.
