gehenna:

I'm two episodes into Devs and it's fantastic.  Nick Offerman is brilliant in the role of a somewhat unhinged genius who seems to have found the code to reality itself.  I'm only speculating as in two episodes the story is still very vague, but it's something special.  Written and directed by Alex Garland of Ex Machina/Annihilation/28 Days Later fame.

Where, where, where?

The Outsider.

Feel like they stretched it out a bit in the middle but overall a good show.

Jason Bateman can't seem to make a bad TV series.

Bordertown on Netflix. A Finnish crime series so quite dark but i enjoyed it. It is different than most Scandinavian crime dramas because they have a new case every 2-3 episodes spread out over 11 episodes and 2 seasons so it doesnt drag. 8/10 and well worth a watch .

Also really enjoying Devs.  Fallen out of interest of most high concept sci-fis (Salvation etc) but this has been great so far, 4 episodes in.

Four episodes through ZeroZeroZero on Prime video. Good drama on the illegal drug trade at various levels. Really enjoying it so far.

If you get a chance, check out "Curb Your Enthusiasm" by comedian Larry David.

He was a head writer on the Seinfeld show.

It's been on HBO for 10 seasons. Check out alternative source for the seasons.

What If Everyone Had Their Own Larry David?

I've recently finished a number of series, the most recent of which was The Outsider on Sky Go.

Dark, brooding and a bit slow, but ultimately very much a Stephen King show that is worth watching. Just not in bright sunlight - you won't see a thing...

Adding a vote for Devs on Neon. Excellent series so far (4 eposides in). Quality near future drama with an tech overlay.

Also ended up binge watching letter for the king on Netflix. Light fantasy with band of knight novices (teens) questing to save the world. It's not game of thrones but easy/silly/imperfect and quite enjoyable.
Only 6 episodes and your done so not a huge time sink either.

Finally I'm enjoying season 3 of Westworld on Neon. Nothing will beat season 1, that was original brilliance, but at the moment I think season 3 might well end up better than season 2.

The Netflix TV series, "Tiger King", is getting a lot of buzz on social media.

Reality is stranger than fiction, in particular when you have well-armed mentally unbalanced carnies threatening Waco-style show-downs.
