I've finished Van Helsing Season 325 (or at least it felt like the 325th season)

It was harder going than any of the other seasons and I am unsure if there'll be another...

Just started Noughts + Crosses, which presents a very interesting alternative history. Should be up on TVNZ OD shortly.

Geektastic:

Just finished Altered Carbon series 2.

Good but not as good as series 1 by some margin.

It was ok but I struggled with it. Didn't really gel with Mackie as Kovacs and he seemed more of a dick to Poe than S1.

Just finished Watchmen - it's not a sequel to the movie however as the movie was based on the comics there are lots of commonality and it helps understand things if you haven't read the comics (I haven't). Well worth watching though. 8.5/10

Also finished Picard - twas ok and I enjoyed seeing Patrick Stewart in space again but not quite as good as I hoped it would be.

Better Call Saul S5 on Lightbox.

Ozark S3 on Netflix.

Both brilliant.

Killing Eve S3 should be turning up in the middle of the month apparently.

Still working my way through S2 of Narcos.  Sometimes I really need to pay attention to the sub titles, otherwise I lose the plot

Watching episode 2  of Tiger King.

Better Call Saul S5 on Lightbox.

Same, certain story elements are coming together, it's awesome.

Also, almost finished the valhalla murders. It's a bit formulaic (if you've seen other scandi-noir murder shows) but still enjoyable.

Reprisal 9/10 TVNZ OD

Quirky action drama based around biker gangs south of Detroit out in the boondocks. Shades of Kill Bill with a vengeful female lead and plenty of ultraviolence.

Sherlock 7.5/10 TVNZ OD/BBC IPlayer

I know this has been around a while but never watched it and was pleasantly surprised. Made in the style of Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes movies it's less fomrulaic than I expected and quite entertaining. Each episode is quite long though at 90 mins.

On Netflix, I'm enjoying "Beastars."

It's not Zootopia, since it has a 16+ rating.

it has a 90% rating on Rotten Tomatoes

Just watching unorthodox on netflix.

Very interesting on so many levels.

It is short only four 1 hour episodes.

Watching Tales from the loop on Amazon Prime. Sci-fi. Love the pace of it (rather slow), and the quirkiness.

Ozark - something about it that it hasn't really clicked with me. Cast and acting are top notch, plot is fine but I struggle to get through the episodes. Maybe it's because none of the main leads are that likeable except for maybe Ruth Langmore. And I usually like Jason Bateman.

Anyway, really struggled with S2 and the first half of S3 but it seems to be picking up from S03E05.

Westworld - Season 3 - much more linear and straightforward than the first two seasons but really enjoying this season.

I’d be interested in hearing what you think of S03E05 when you get to that (if you haven’t already). I too had been loving this season, but this latest episode brought that love affair crashing down to Earth. Such a different tone and style; here’s hoping it was just a one-off.

I thought it really lost its way on that one...
