Companies that refuse to accept paywave, so that as I get used to carrying just a phone, every so often I get caught out without means of payment ;)

That despite zero mention of it, your home delivery food is satans tears spicy and it took so long to arrive, you can't really not eat it, knowing how badly you'll pay for that later.

Better than a big meeting/exam first thing on Monday morning... Guaranteed to ruin the weekend.

Just like have big essay due 1st day back from holidays...

Amazon support.

I lost my wallet a few months ago and in the process of updating my daughter's kindle account she was locked out.

A CSR told her she would have to create a new account and the books would be transferred. That was obviously rubbish and her old account was deleted !

For over a week she has called, been called back, and spent hours on their online chat. No one will help.

Yesterday she was told her old account was only suspended and they can reactivate it if we pass their security questions. One of the questions is the expiry date of the old credit card. Of course we don't have that.

I've now been in a chat session with them for over an hour. I've been transferred three times to four different CSR's. Each one tells me they will fix it but each one transfers me when they read the chat.

She had hundreds of dollars of books from over a decade and the best they can offer is to refund is for the books bought this year.

[e] spelling

Transferred to a fifth person with the fourth one not even bothering to say anything. They read the chat and immediately transferred me elsewhere.

Fifth person immediately transfers me to a sixth. Keerthana wasn't even online for 20 seconds.

[e] spelling, can you tell I'm angry ? I cant even type !

The busiest day of the year for Amazon probably isn't the ideal time to raise a complicated issue.

Perhaps wait till Monday or Tuesday and ask for an email address to request assistance. Once you have an email chain, request an escalation, and if that doesn't work, then forward it to the CEOs email address and it should get sorted.

Agreed.

"I'm sorry, this is not during my working hours.  I'm sure you'll be able to provide an email summary for me to catch up with on Monday."

ALso doubles as proof that it's a meeting that could have been an email.  ;-)
