Yup. There was an earlier post saying something like "the purpose of the indicator is to let people know what you're about to do; it is not to document actions already taken".

Amazing the number of new expensive cars / SUV's that the owner obviously didn't have any money left to purchase the "optional" Indicator Package!

My brother is a mechanic and reckons they've never had to replace the indicator on a Beemer from wear and tear.

Just to keep things rolling....

Apple's iphone IOS quirks , such as not being able to easily delete ALL photos in one go. What the heck? Surely this should be simple, but no, apple in their infinite wisdom decided to make you select each of the 300 photos separately to delete them.

Surely whenever they have a 'select' from a large list of items function, they should supply a 'select all' button.

But thats ok i think, apple have provided a storage management feature in the settings..... But no, you can only delete entire apps, not the app data!! So, 2 blocks to prevent a simple delete all photos. I think they are being malicious.

Equally likely i missed the function, but after a bit of googling it seemed possible in IOS8, but not IOS 10.

In general, the ios photo and music apps are absolute dogs.

[edit] after posting this, i accidentally found out how to delete photos in groups at least, you need to go into the 'moments' view.... it is not a delete all, but at least you can delete groups. Still , why not just have a delete all function?

So many (new ?) cars with there white indicators which you can't actually see flashing anyway if they're in bright sunlight unless you look directly at them.

.....or is it just me.

Not just you!!

I started noticing this about 6 months ago. . . especially these 'clear' plastic assemblies with lots of angles, and from certain positions/light conditions it can be really hard to see them blinking....

1)bright enough to be visible from 100m in normal daylight and from 200m in normal darkness, and

2)not be too bright that cause significant dazzle to other road users.

(amongst a few other things)

So no actual 'size of the lighted area' rules? I would think that is equally important to brightness. I could make a light 1cm across that was technically visible at 200m...but it would't really stand out much in the visual landscape a driver has to take in and process.

Newspaper articles where the paper expresses opinion unnecessarily instead of simply reporting.

This is something I have noticed in recent times in particular (but not exclusively) when articles relating to anything to do with the German side of WW2 are printed. Instead of simply printing (for example) "This picture shows a smiling (insert name of well known WW2 German commander or whatever) attending a village fete in 1942." we commonly now see "This picture shows evil monster (insert name of person) etc".

It's not the job of newspapers to add such epithets in non-opinion articles.

Yes, but, sometimes the closer you are to the vehicle the harder it is to see the indicator lamp -- i think due to the light being reflected off internal surfaces -- they are like indicator lamp 'blind spots' . Never noticed on the older vehicles as they have fairly flat uniformly rounded lamp cover assemblies. Some of todays lamp assemblies look like stealth bombers.

It would be difficult for an inspector to check all angles of approach and distance.

People who tell big porkies on Geonet's "felt reports". This from the quake this morning in N Cant'y. I'm close to one of the yellow "strong" tags, was definitely sitting down having a coffee at the time of the quake, and I didn't feel or notice anything at all.
