I've had the same thing with some headphone ear pads. I can't think of anything less fragile. I suspect the box is chosen to make it less likely to be overlooked or lost and the tape is used for everything.

I wish give a little pages would allow you to donate without email addresses and names. I just want to give without a receipt, without my name and without needing to fill in the name on my debit card. Nearly gave up donating because of the above. Just want to remain completely anonymous. Actually would prefer if they just gave the victims bank account number and by passed admin fees.

“Passcode must not have consecutive ascending or descending numbers” which means 103649 (made up example) fails but 135246 is okay.

Managers who answer questions for their team.

In a teams meeting.  Manager #1 asks - can we meet a deadline of October 1st?
Manager #2 - yes
Architect - of course we can!

Response from the dev team?  Stony silence.

Yes, we can probably make it.  But at least let the people responsible for delivering on it make the commitment, rather than making it for them.

What would the actual workers know?  They (we) aren't paid enough to know strategic details such as development and delivery timeframes.  *sigh*

I'm getting pestered by sales people through linkedin.

Can I set up a 0900 number and list that as my contact number?

Most of the posters in this thread are just like chimpanzees on MDMA, full of feelings of bonhomie, joy, and optimism. Fred99 8/4/21

Don't make your number public and turn off notifications. It works well for screening people you don't want to talk to.

What annoys me is contributors in these forums who do not MANUALLY check their posts before posting for spelling and grammatical errors.

And yes I am guilty of these faults myself. Quite often these errors alter the entire context of what the poster wishes to say. Therefore, it makes it difficult for those who wish to read these posts to understand what the poster means.

Now I understand a lot of posts are done in excitement or angst, and therefore these errors will occur, but a brief moment to read before posting can mean the difference in understanding what the poster wishes.

There is enough problems with main stream newspapers not checking their editorials before print. Let’s show them up.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

There are enough problems... 😅

I'm like you. One of my main failings is judging people based on their grammar and spelling. I'm working on trying to fix this issue, but it is indeed a struggle...

Probably been bleated about on here a 100 times before, but when e-Commerce sites say they have stock, you place and order and get informed that they are 'waiting on supplier'.

This isn't some tin-pot off-shore web-only store.  It's a large, established NZ brand with bricks & mortar shops.

Product page:

Online order progress/status:

Yesterday's email update

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

Logistics centre stock means that the last update from the supplier showed stock but that's probably weeks old and someone else bought the one that they had thru another retailer so its gone. You will find all the usual places show stock but they are counting the same one that was sold already at the importer.

Or the importer is crap at stocktaking and its not there but they counted one once.
