I decided to re-sub back to Amazon Prime Video and I recently discovered The Expanse. Being a huge science fiction nerd(I love Star Trek, Battlestar Galactica both TOS and Re-imagined) this is certainly tickling an itch I had for a long time. So far just started Season 2 and I'm rather fond of the twists and I've got a few favourite characters as well(Miller and Amos).

Lupin on Netflix.

Inspired by the adventures of Arsène Lupin, gentleman thief Assane Diop sets out to avenge his father for an injustice inflicted by a wealthy family.

I've watched the first series and am halfway through the second. I really like it, it's got some exciting action sequences and I like the actors. It's in French, dubbed into English, but most of the time I don't notice the dubbing.

Star Wars: The Bad Batch - animation on Disney+. Pretty good story actually, better than expected. It ties well with the events on the first two episodes of the Star Wars prequel trilogy. Started watching to test HDR10+ and sound on a Sony TV then continued with a projector - great sound, well done animation/picture quality.

Sweettooth is fast getting away from what I hoped it would become. I'll stick with it a bit longer, but if it continues down the path it's heading, 1 season is all I can imagine watching.

Just finished season 2 of Black Summer (Netflix) 8/10

A visceral take on the zombie thriller genre.  Season 1 is pretty much a must watch first.  Gritty, emotive, and at time brutally and realistically violent.  A more real-life take on the human condition and a zombie outbreak would probably look like as compared to TWD and others.

Just finished watching Clarkson’s Farm on Amazon Prime.

It involves Jeremy Clarkson of Top Gear and The Grand Tour taking over running his farm in the Cotswolds when his farm manager retires. It spans September 2019 to September 2020 with obvious implications.

“How hard can it be?” asks Clarkson. He discovers just how difficult. You don’t have to be a TG or TGT fan to enjoy this and there may even be some surprises for people who loathe dislike him. It is certainly no more contrived than any of his recent projects.

The series left me wondering if farmers in NZ are beset with excessive amount of bureaucracy and regulation like their UK counterparts. And also how someone (Clarkson) who has spent 40 years in motoring can’t back a trailer.

Its 8 episodes. You’ll know by the end of episode 2 if the series is for you. 7/10.

I watched the first two episodes, not really knowing what to expect and almost forgot that I was watching a cartoon.

I enjoyed it, but for some reason stopped watching...I shall have to restart, I think.

I've watched the first four episodes, I will watch the rest this weekend.

There are obvious bits that are contrived, but that's OK, it's made for TV.

I enjoy it, but then, I don't dislike JC and his mates :)

Well, all of a sudden Sweet Tooth got a massive boost and suddenly things are back on track and making more sense. There is some clever writing in this series.

I would have liked a season 1 recap like a lot of shows have as it's been a long time since I watched it. Just a quick refresher to remind me of who the characters were would have gone a long way. I've only watched the first episode, so maybe flashbacks will fill in some gaps?
