No excuse for cyclists to be rude and lash on pedestrians.
I don't see the same happening in the weekends. It seems only happen with those cycling to work.
I have never ever witnessed that sort of thing myself. Pedestrians IMO should have priority, then cyclists.

I hope you don't mean ducking in and out around parked cars, though? Or riding through glass/potholes? Both of which are dangerous and contrary to the road code.
There's nothing in the Road Code (which isn't the law BTW - it's a guide to the law and has no standing) which prevents you from moving to the left when not passing parked vehicles. Nor is there anything prohibiting anyone from riding through potholes or debris.
Of course, back in my day, we also had bicycle tyres with decent sidewalls and tread that were resistant to most debris and obstacles instead of being mere fashion accessories favoured by the MAMILs these days. It comes down to choosing appropriate equipment for the task.

"pedanticor"? 😛
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

keeping left, hazards, advice to motorists about sharing the road with cyclists, note the bits about cyclists avoiding hazards.
As you note the road code isn't law, so in that sense there isn't anything there that prevents or prohibits anyone from anything.

A little thing that annoys me is cars not indicating which way they're turning. Some people seem to think that if they're in a turn-only lane that they don't have to indicate that they're turning.
Another related annoyance is a line of cars waiting to turn and people only indicating which way they're turning when they get to the head of the line (assuming they indicate at all, see above annoyance). I alway indicate as soon as I enter the line, even if I'm 10 cars away from the actual turn.

Contrary to that, I hate drivers on Melling Bridge indicating they are turning left to go south on to Western Hutt Road, but Pharazyn Street occurs first.

That the BNZ cash-machine makes me input the number of cents when I'm withdrawing cash, when it only dispenses notes.
(This seems to be quite a recent software change, if anyone here can give me the rationale behind it I'd love to hear it.)
Same user interface as used for the other parts of the machine when entering in amounts of money I expect, since you can transfer and deposit on machines, those can be any amount.
Thumbs up to BNZ. I had a (polite) bleat about it on their Facebook page. Got a very prompt response, mentioning she would pass it on and that I wasn't the only one who had mentioned it. Withdrawing some more beer-vouchers from the ATM machine today it's back to having to enter whole dollar amounts only.
Auto-correct is why I have crust issues.
Supermarkets.
From this morning at New World,
Meat department "Reduced to Clear". (Big label)
Original price = $7.00
Reduced to Clear price = $6.99
Gee I wonder what price you pay for CASH?
And how they usually put the "reduced price" label so it hides the best before date!

Related - the fact that they have yet to figure out how to use sealed packaging for most meat, so it drips blood all over the rest of your goods, all over their shelving (which is probably a veritable cornucopia of bacteria etc as a result as I doubt that their cleaning regime is particularly well enforced given how slack every other aspect of their management is) and so forth.
Also their apparent inability to print nutritional labels for meat - including statements of fat content differences between minced beef types.
Pointless directions from your Sat Nav.
Such as:
"Continue on SH2" when the only possible ways to do otherwise are to drive through a fence into a field or have a flying car...
Getting notice to move from our landlord yesterday as they have decided to sell. Be annoying to move just to have to rent again so going to investigate whether buying could be an option, but know it's probably not going to be a possibility for us.
allan: Mcdonalds employees who insist on giving you one of the straw/spoon combo things for your thickshake and then take umbrage when you ask for a actual straw.
But the actual ones are so thin they collapse. More annoying I find is the non standard between resturants about which window gives you the napkin and straws.
