From Windows Insider: Windows 11 has a great trick!  It can inflate your mouse!

But, nothing yet on how to inflate your desk so that you can use the bigger mouse.

Numbers are down, but on some arbitrary measure they are up. Let's call it breaking news!

While this may not technically be incorrect given the sudden spike in cases over the last week, this hardly paints an accurate picture of case numbers which are in fact lower today.

Good to see that we are reusing COVID tests now, that'll save money.  Getting more than 300 positive results from 100 tests!  Stuff. Up.

I did OK at School-C maths, but this one had me flabbergasted.

(Spoiler alert.  According to the Stuff mathematics department it's Circumference, which isn't wrong of course.  If I've missed something obvious please tell me.)

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Just another example of journalism/media folks not being very strong in the STEM subjects. They can probably show you their “participation certificates” in those subjects.

Newton says she’s seen jibbing being sold for thousands of dollars on Trade Me auctions and that she’s willing to pay the extortionate prices just to get the repairs finished.

Firstly, jibbing is starts with G. Gib is the proper name of a product. Secondly, gibbing (jibbing) would be a verb, not a noun.

Thirdly, why would anyone expect a New Zealand journalist to be literate or know how to use a grammar and spelling checker?

Forget selling, Kiwis are spending big to make their cars super. NZHerald 28 March 2022.

The article then goes on to list the items kiwis have spent their money on. With the exception of “polish” all the big items are safety or maintenance related i.e. tires, wipers and batteries. Maybe the headline could replace the “super” with “roadworthy”.

That's dumb. How many politicians? One, two? Is this for homes they bought as investment after becoming an elected official? Is there anything else that differentiate them from other professionals buying houses in the same areas?

Stupid is stupid.
