TENKAN: Now here is the thing, it is during the early family viewing period. 1720-1830.

You mean 5.20pm - 6.30pm ex military by any chance.

Ex RNZAF 🍻

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

stocksp: as a Trekkie from way back ( and a huge sci-fi fan) ,  this show has been really disappointing. Michael alternately whispers and cries.  And it’s all me me me.

A lot of what you see with Burnham are private moments alone and with close relatives and friends. This is unique. In most cases at critical junctions Burnham is alone and has no crew to provide her with information to inform important decisions affecting the future of humanity.

Watched the last episode of Only Murders in the Building on Disney+

Really enjoyed this one - looking forward to a second season. I just hope one is made!

American Rust on Neon. US drama set in the rust belt of Pennsylvania. Series of 9 episodes, coming out weekly - E1 available now. Excellent, based on that one episode - IMO better than the 6.9 showing on IMDB.

Gotta give this another plug. Weekly release is now up to E8 out of 9. Really very good IMO - plenty of depth.

Just binged 2 weeks to live on TVNZ On Demand. Great British dark comedy with the wonderful Maisie Williams.

Just finished The Kominsky Method (Netflix)

Funny as hell, enjoyable and heartfelt story, and short episodes make it an easy watch. Quality big name cast.  Was also nice to know it was properly finished at the end of the short season 3.  A real jewel 9/10.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

I'm enjoying "welcome to demon school"

Japanese anime on CrunchyRoll, a streaming service, with free (ads) or NZ $8/month (no ads).

Great character development, and unusual plot

Left me feeling lacking.

Didn't have the same magic as the first few seasons and I miss the opening credits.

Have downloaded the original and will see how it goes with my memory of it.

absolutely smashed through all 3 seasons of Mr Inbetween over the weekend

Aussie dark comedy that follows the daily life of a hitman Ray Shoesmith

written in a very interesting way.. you shouldn't like the guy but you do.. The lead (who is also the writer) has zero acting experience and absolutely crushed his role..

It's quite violent so probably wont be everyone's cup of tea but I haven't enjoyed a show so much in a long time

Looks interesting and worth a try... Looks like it's only on Neon in NZ, though.

On a side-note:  Noting there are often posts on here encouraging people to report what platform they watched it on, one of the ways of managing that could also be to post the relevant NZ-filtered link on JustWatch; while it may not be relevant content being accessed from an o/s site, for a majority of stuff it'll show the platforms it's available here. I was digging around TVNZ OD yesterday and was surprised at how much stuff available on Netflix was also available free via TVNZ, which demonstrates the value of this approach.

Anyway, as an example, here's the JustWatch link for that programme: https://www.justwatch.com/nz/tv-show/mr-inbetween

+1

Also if you click on the relevant streaming provider icon for you in JustWatch it will take you directly to that Streaming services website and that particular program. 😀 (NOTE: I am always already logged into my relevant streaming sites)
