I read somewhere that someone complained to Pricespy and he contacted C1. The guy got contacted very quickly and the results he wanted after that.

I've complained to pricespy itself 3 times about them :( still no response

I also rang up today, now not only is my CPU not in stock, the monitor, ram and keyboard aren't either. So that leaves only my dvd-rw in stock...Great :( looks like I'm going to be retrieving the credit card fees and going to computerlounge

I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

To be fair they used to be quite good. I've used them for about 18 months with no problems until this order. Clearly they're overwhelmed and made a shocking business decision with their website, which is a buggy ugly mess.

If they were an ethical business they should stop taking orders for a few days to clear the obviously massive backlog they have. Instead they're cold shouldering everyone and not giving their customers ANY customer service at all. We really get to see a companies mettle when things go wrong, and C1 have failed badly. Very badly. They haven't even bothered to apologise to me, nor have they kept me informed about what's going on. They could at least put a message on their website.

I made the unfortunate mistake of buying from them too.

I placed the order on the 2nd of March, about $1100 worth of gear. They charged my CC the next day, but after 5 days of not hearing from them and not responding to emails I phoned them, and they claimed they couldn't see my payment. I then scanned my CC statement and emailed them that, then followed it up with a phone call, "oh, we can see your payment now in the system". At that point most of the parts were out of stock, so I told them just ship me what you have and refund the rest ($788.60). They shipped the parts they had on the 12th of March, but no refund in sight. I've rung them once a week, each time they promised by the end of the week, but so far nothing. I've just called them again this morning with the girl promising to get "the accountant to refund the money", I told her that I'd better see it by Wednesday or I'll be progressing with legal action (although I might just report it to my CC instead, I need to figure out if it's fraud since they did ship some of the parts).

For the parts they didn't have in stock anymore I just ordered them from Ascent. In between the phone call to C1 and them shipping the parts Ascent processed the order and they arrived down in Christchurch before the C1 parts did. Needless to say I'll be paying a bit more and using Ascent from now on.

So has anyone received anything from these guys in the last week? Seems to me they are desperate to raise some capital with these trademe auctions. If you look at that profile he's started to sell mundane household items as well...all in the last few days. Hmmm.

I ordered two small items from them, one was in stock and the other wasn't so I paid and collected the "in stock item" from them they were not too bad and quite up front, this was of course, 18 months ago.

Any more good feedback from computer lounge? I'm now based in Wellington and most local companies prices here are just a rort so I need a good supplier that is reliable and at the chaper end of the scale.

Anyone else got their order yet?
I got told today it would be sent...it hasn't :(
one more day and I'm ringing up for a refund and charge backing my credit card

HAs anyone else tried Computerlounges price match thing?
I tested it today, because I want another computer and found a shuttle XPC case for $512(CL had $630) then sent them an email, within the hour I got one back saying they could do it for $512 shipping :) Looks like I might be in luck for my new PC after all

i got my money back today, one week after i placed my order. looking at the comments above, i consider myself lucky.

i see everyone's recommending computer lounge. but just wondering if anyone has had good experiences with digital shop before?

In the last 5 weeks they've not responded to any of the 6 emails I've sent them, the only way to get hold of them is to call (and it can take a while to get through, there's usually a busy signal). I've done the same as you, I've lodged a dispute with my CC company, I'm just waiting for them to send me the forms. I'm glad I paid by CC and not direct debit, sometimes a CC surcharge can be worth it!

I've bought computer parts online while in the UK, Australia and NZ and c1 are by far the worst I've dealt with of any of them.

Yeah digital shop are fine :) if you live near the warehouse they ship it from they even allow you to pick it up :)

My saga with c1com goes on: will be shipped early this week. Well "early" has come and gone, reverse CC charges are coming out this afternoon at the bank. C1com = POOR(hope taht shows up in google as one of the first results)

Can you tell me how you got the bank to charge back the credit? I thought it would be as easy as going to the bank and talking to someone about it and filling in some form with a bit of evidence, but the bank (ASB) was completely unhelpful and now I'm confused.

Learned my lesson, that's for sure. I live about 10 minutes drive from about half a dozen pc shops...next time I'll just call if they have stock and go in person to pick my stuff up.

Last time I did a charge back (for extra fradulent charges for a car I hired in Thailand) all I did was call the bank who sent me a form. I had to list the steps I took to challenge the charges eg emails, phone calls, then they investigated. If the charge was found to be ligitimate I think it would have cost me $30 or some such amount, and the reversal was on my card in about 2 weeks. All up it ws pretty simple with minimal effort - I certainly never had to enter a bank.
