Eva888:

Spring cleaning, up and down ladders using glutes and thigh muscles that imagined they had retired, but are all now screaming ouch with every movement. So it’s a hair of the dog today with another round of torture.

I hear ya!
Wife and I went for a walk around the rocks and pathways from one beach to another yesterday (5km round trip), which we used to find fairly easy and quite enjoyable.

Whilst we enjoyed it, we didn't find it that easy and this morning, we are both feeling like knee and hip replacements might be needed!

Aotearoa needs more mature attitudes around cycling from all sides. Roads, footpaths and cycle lanes are not places to play games and squabbles, life's are at stake.

Just when spring has sprung, I catch some kind of viral sore throat.

"I regret to say that we of the F.B.I. are powerless to act in cases of oral-genital intimacy, unless it has in some way obstructed interstate commerce." — J. Edgar Hoover

"Create a society that values material things above all else. Strip it of industry. Raise taxes for the poor and reduce them for the rich and for corporations. Prop up failed financial institutions with public money. Ask for more tax, while vastly reducing public services. Put adverts everywhere, regardless of people's ability to afford the things they advertise. Allow the cost of food and housing to eclipse people's ability to pay for them. Light blue touch paper." — Andrew Maxwell

My local New World has Maccas-style paper drink cups, and straws... but no lids. I don't mean they've run out, but rather that they apparently only stock two thirds of a complete drink cup set.

Device OEMs that believe that they own the device you have purchased and graciously allow you to use it. Looking at you insert OEM of choice. Then listening, recording, sharing .... even when apparently one clicks on NO.

Using messenger on Android - obviously lists your conversations in order of last message (with new at the top). But also horizontally along the top it shows other contacts which are usually people you contact frequently but over the last couple of days I've had a lot of people I don't recognise appearing. I go into the conversation and it's someone I once sold something to on marketplace 8 years ago, or even someone who just messaged and never went through with the purchase etc.

After struggling to find lids for sale anywhere, apart from in multiples of 1000, I ended up going left-field. I popped into KFC and asked for some... and got them.

I wonder if they will now be overrun by people wanting free lids?

That'll be your browser settings. The spellchecker works correctly at this end.

We don't provide a spell checker. That's on your browser settings.
