Coming soon..."You'll never believe what a moderator on Geekzone did!" ![]()

If I didn't spend the whole Saturday making things faster and safer, I would even laugh.

Dog poop on the pavement and the lazy bastards who don't clean up after their own dogs.
I have a female dog. She squats to pee. A guy was driving past while she was doing her wet business and shouted "You have to clean up the poop".
Obviously idiot doesn't know about dogs.
You could take a paint roller tray out walking with you.
And do what when it's full?!
Carefully carry it home and tip it down the loo? It was meant to be a joke - albeit a piss-poor one.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
Geektastic: Invercargill council for euthanasing dogs with a captive bolt gun.
Disgraceful.
If it's OK to kill sheep and cattle this way, why isn't it OK to kill dogs like that?

because sheep and cattle only exist, in part ,to be used as food and leather, they have to be killed. Dogs not so much .
Common sense is not as common as you think.

The dogs in question had to be killed. In some countries, they'd be food and leather too.

The generally accepted civilised way to euthanise a dog is to call a vet.

afe66: All the ads for cell phones at the movies after being told to put your cell phone away.
Ads at movies. I paid to see the film, not be a captive audience for advertisers.

Posters who title their gz post, or start their post, with "So..." - as if there's been some sort of preceding causation, when there hasn't.
Posters who title their threads with just a product name "Spark MB76537 modem" and expecting people to have a crystal ball to let them know "Hey here's a thread I could help with"
Just edited a topic with a title "What do you think of this?" with something clearer in meaning.
Seriously @Rikkitic... I am going to start banning people that do this kind of thing. We don't need clickbaiting.
Crappy Email subject lines .. or email threads that eventually morph into something totally different from the original email content.
Typical example is a scanned image - either from a copier, or imported from a desk scanner, and just forwarded with the original scanner's subject line.
as in "FW: SC20170901099", instead of "Order from customer xyz"
Our house got burgled last week and they stole remotes for the TV/DVD/SAT but left the actual components? What a PITA.
We now have an alarm ...

A little-known fact: If you're using Outlook, you can edit the subject of received email. Double-click the message, then click on the subject line and change it. It looks like an uneditable label, but you can click and type into it.

Don't make me mention "people that make a statement and end it with a question mark"! ![]()
Company websites that make it really difficult to find an actual contact phone number .
They do this on purpose to stop their customers from ringing them.
Lenovo is a classic. They make it easy to find their phone number for sales, but really difficult to find the support number.
