Succeeding at parenting!

Miss Floyd (daughter) has been on a fixed-term contract for the last 9 or so months.

That position came up as permanent, she applied and got offered the role, but at the same money she has been on.

Mrs. Floyd and I said "Don't just take it, ask for more money." and helped her construct the reply email.

Result: 10% more $$ than the original offer and Miss Floyd is now in permanent, full-time employment.

Orcon mobile getting all the benefits of the Spark network. Even to the point of being shown a spark warning page about browsing away from Facebook suggesting it comes with free social data?

Having a very supportive boss (and his boss, too).

Very nice change of pace.

Oh...and also getting my quarterly bonus paid by my previous employer, which I had written off, as I'd left before payout.

Wow - that is some barcode - or some camera. How does it produce drinks?  Replicator? Or did you mean wave a camera at the bar?

floydbloke: Pranksters troll Russian diplomats by renaming Wellington street 'Zelensky Rd'.

In Dublin, where Putin is extremely unpopular, local councillors are taking a longer-term approach, and have voted to change the name of the street where their Russian embassy is situated from Orwell Road to Independent Ukraine Road.

While I've now got a huge smile on my face, I think this also needs to be posted to this thread.

I am not sure when the last time I saw/heard rain of this magnitude in Auckland. Can't talk on the phone it's so loud.
