Ok now I really want it as my new work phone is a Blackberry which is driving me nuts.
Generally known online as OpenMedia, now working for Red Hat APAC as a Technology Evangelist and Portfolio Architect. Still playing with MythTV and digital media on the side.
A lot of people were hassling me to get a cell phone so I went on Trademe and won an auction which gave me 8, they are all old and crap which is why I would like this phone.
Have always been a bit behind on the tech side with regards to mobiles - mainly because I'm a cheapskate . My current phone is basically for texting only. Smart phones look fun and would love to win one - at least I'd get to play with it for a day before the missus claimed it.
Hi don't have a smartphone as of yet (hopefully after Christmas I will be able to splash out and get one-have been checking out various Android ones as I think that's the way to go!). Would be great to win this one! Thanks, Gavin
Cool one. same with the previous giveaway. As i mention i still using my Sony Ericsson K750i. so hope to be lucky to win this IDEOS so that i can change my phone :) Hope there always luck
Yo Yo!! I definitely need an Android as an Upgrade!! Let me be the one to have the Android to replace this ancient colour phone that I have for 7 years and counting!!
Heres my Mum's old and first ever mobile phone that she's had for about 7 or 8 years. This crusty old Nokia frustrates the hell out of me and my dad when we have had to borrow it in the past as the buttons hardly ever work anymore (even though my mum somehow still doesnt seem to realise this), and for this reason it has been thrown at multiple objects on several occasions, not that would exactly help. As I have an HTC Wildfire I dont exactly need a new phone anytime soon but for mine and my Dad's sake, I think its time for her to upgrade. Some of the features on Android, she would find very useful, such as google shopper and timetable etc. as she can never keep track of anything. And this would be a great early christmas present for her :D

Be nice to win this! Recently ditched my trusty HTC Touch Pro2 for an AT&T Captivate. My "return" to Android after trying some of the early Android ports to my HTC Titan (early 2008)
- Telstra HTC Touch Pro2 - Energy ROM WM6.5.5 20 Oct/Cyanogen Mod Froyo 2.2 - R.I.P - AT&T Galaxy S Captivate 16GB on XT (now with brother) - Samsung Galaxy S2 on XT- Runs ICS 4.0.3 Resurrection Remix 9.2 - Business Hours - Work In The Electricity Industry, After Hours - DJ/Turntablist - Will Scratch Vinyl For Free' - What's next??? S3?
Well, since I didn't win the last Android to pacify the missus and her ancient SE T300, hopefully I'll get her a nice Christmas present with this one. Count me in! :)
My current phone is an HTC Touch2 on Telecom XT network.
this would have been a great upgrade for the wife, but now she already has an android sinceher old cdma phone stopped charging last week so i brought her the Galaxy 550 running android (good bang for buck there!) and am very jealous to the point of 'forcing' a swap. i would diffinately rather have the android instead of my Touch2 which is still priced about twice as much.
so please pick me before i find an excuse to either steal the wife's phone or ruin my current one. :-)
My WinMo phone is feeling a bit on the slow side so looking for an update and am quite partial to Android.
I am also quite partial to lower cost smart phones. Having a $1000+ phone in my pocket just does not seem right, would much rather have something lower cost that I dont have to be totally precious about.
I am also thinking that having a super-phone that does everything is actually a bad idea - it results in spending a lot more time holding a device that radiates energy that I am not convinced is safe.
For me a phone is for calls, text and the quick check of email, out and about web lookup and the Ideos would be great. Extended browsing, games etc can be done on a device that wont fry me !!
