Not from Aliexpress and I haven't ordered one but this seemed like the least inappropriate place to post it in case others found it useful, the TOTO Otohime Toilet Sound Blocker:

I saw this device in Japan and I just have to have it. I have a guest restroom that is not very "soundproof" and the guests are often hesitant to use it.

Came up in a discussion in an electronics forum, never knew they existed until now.  The rest of the discussion contained useful hints like playing either Handel's Water Music or the 1812 Overture finale depending on what activities were taking place.

When I try to add coins now I get

"To protect the security or your account, your request can't be processed at this time"

Been like that for 2 weeks now.

neb: Hasn't arrived, in fact haven't even ordered it, but thought this might be of interest to some, it's a mini table saw for situations where a full-sized saw will just end up tearing up whatever you're cutting. Looks pretty decent and there are links to several YT review videos, all metal chassis and perfect for cutting up smaller stuff like mouldings, plastic pipes and struts, and in my case PCBs.

Do they have a version with an NZ plug or are you just going to roll with an adapter?

Oh, I hadn't even looked at that detail since I'm still not sure if I can justify it, it looks like it's just a variable-voltage supply to regulate the speed so either get a NZ-approved equivalent or swap out the plug.

Edited to add: Given that they claim 10 amps power draw which I doubt that power supply and DC cable can safely manage, it's probably not a bad idea to replace it with something else.  It'd also be interesting, in a somewhat scared manner, to see how much inrush current that thing draws.

neb: A BliKVM, which acts as a browser-accessible KVM, plug the target device's video and USB into it and you can control it over a network without having to drag a monitor and keyboard to wherever it's located. Wish these things had been around years ago.

@neb A bit late to the party on this, but does that work "as is"? I've seen reference to the fact that it needs a Pi Compute Module 4 for it to function.

The brains are provided by a CM4, you can buy it either as just the electronics or with the CM4.  I found it both easier and cheaper to get the CM4 from Digikey and the rest of the KVM from Ali.

Mine have been hitting 7-10 days mostly, with some taking forever still.

Really annoying to have all but one part to do something, and for one thing I assumed it was never coming because the tracking was just showing nothing so I ordered another, they both came 4-7 days later - not sure exactly when because I didnt go to the po box for a few days.

Just got my ZMI QB826G.

Said I would get it by late June. Got it in a week and a half. 3 days when it got into NZ. Aliexpress shipping can be really fast or really slow, no in-between lol.

Aside from that, the power bank is a hefty and juiced beast. Pretty good for what I want to do.

Not arrived, in fact not even ordered yet but I thought it might be of interest to others, you can get odd-sized step drills to complement the universal even-sized ones (4, 8, 10, 12 etc mm).  Saves having to drill a hole to the nearest even size and then file it out to the size you want.

Still a bit miffed by this one - they are an established company, so when I pre-ordered this (then called ZMI no. 20) via their IndieGogo page for USD99 back in 2021 I didn't expect any issues. When they finally shipped though, they realised that the carrier they were using wouldn't deliver powerbanks to NZ, so they simply didn't send it. All contact attempts were ignored, and like many, my payment was simply treated as a donation.

I decided it would be the final time I would deal with either Indiegogo or ZMI.

That is absurd, what the hell. Did you try a charge back or similar? That really sucks, didn't know Indiegogo or ZMI would screw people over like this.

It's not off AliExpress but it is off an eBay seller in Shenzen China, with free shipping.

Bought a LSI 9300-8i last week Sunday 12th, and it was shipping two hours later, arrived this morning.

The new Unraid server is coming together quite nicely :)
