I suspect that this transaction will be the straw that broke the camel's back and DS will be bankrupt by Monday at the latest. tongue-out

It looks like that is one loss, on another loss for them. If you assume a cost price of maybe $3 per cable, and each bag cost them $3 to send, that looks to be around $60 cost to them, and it probably cost you $10 in total, so I am guessing a $50 loss. You really have to wonder what is going on. I am still waiting on an order from weeks ago and not getting anywhere with their overseas based CS.

I'm actually missing one of them, the last bag had a 2 pack of 12v alkaline batteries in it. Might arrive monday. Might not care enough to bother chasing it up with them.

They did the same thing with me. I got cables from one order in two separate shipments, total waste of time and money for them.

Anyone found any other deals in todays lot of stuff? This doesnt look too bad, but typical useless nz internet retailer has no information on the product and one crappy photo.

http://www.dicksmith.co.nz/kerio-90w-notebook-auto-adaptor-dsnz-m9694 - I know how big it is but not what the ends will fit.

Those multiple bags are arranged by h/o, apparently. They only pay for a ticket apon postage however so if it's one branch that has multiple items they may be able to fit a few into the same bag

Doesn't help when there's one item sent from each branch.

I spent quite a bit of time trawling through the dick smith website looking for deals. I added several items which I didnt need, and then became stuck at checkout.

I wanted to click and collect to save on postage costs (and I have a DSE close by), but there was no option to collect from a store as each store had one of the items missing.

In my frustration and tiredness I just gave up. Could they not locate the items and send to one shop? Surely they have deliveries going to stores every few days?

I'm not just being tight about the postage (well maybe a little), but I cant see the point in missing a card to call due to being at work, and then a 30min round trip to pick it up.

Do they have any NZ based staff for their online store? Having big unexplained delay in order, and the only people I can talk to are their Philippines call centre, who just keep saying they are looking into it.

Tried to buy a K400r off their website, if you do the search the price comes up as $45.xx but when you add it to your cart it jumps up to $79.xx.

in store they wouldnt match their own online price.  such a stupid store, i really hope they crash and burn now.

Seems everything thats on sale is showing as special price but adding to the cart at full price now.

If I thought they would still be around I might actually complain about that.

I tried to buy a few special products yesterday and despite clicking on store pickup was finding freight charges being added.

I got my HDMI cables today at least from a store pickup, the guy there said they'd sold heaps at 50c!

$4.95 to not go to the mall is well worth it IMO.

Can I ask which store and which model as I'm after one as it's the BYOD of choice for my daughters school?
