Two parcels arrived today:

  • Ali Express, purchased 19/12/2021, via AliExpress standard shipping
  • Banggood.com, purchased 27/01/2021, via New Zealand Direct Mail

So big win for Banggood!

About that, I also bought another item at the same time ($100 drawing tablet) which wasn't shipped immediately. After a few days it showed that it would be shipped the 5th for February. On the 5th it showed that if would be shipped the 1st of March, no way!. Interestingly enough the product showed as ready to ship from the US warehouse, the product was cheaper but the shipping cost was higher so the total cost was similar. I contacted customer support to request the item to be shipped from the US or cancel the order and they were reluctant until mentioned I would open a dispute with paypal.... So another good point of Banggood is that paying with Paypal gives you more recourse in case of a dispute.

So I have had an order from September and one from November. All the items I ordered in November have arrived. Two items (small stuff, like fishing lures) from my order from September are still in transit. I have received a refund for two items at this point, one which hasn't arrived. The other has arrived yesterday after about 4.5 month and I already received the refund for it.

My more expensive items ($20+ like dash cams, Wallet, Fishing rods, kids toys etc.) arrived the fastest. All items were sent via the standard Aliexpress shipping option, which was mostly free or a few cents.

Did any of them use ubi smart parcel?!

No, not that I am aware of. Ali standard, Canaio or China Post.

Can't see how that is a win for Banggood when Aliexpress is delivering 10 months before you even ordered it!

Have a small parcel coming via AliExpress Standard Shipping:

Ordered 29/12

Shipped 30/12

International Departure 06/01

NZ Arrival UBI 05/02

NZ Arrival Aliexpress-Cainiao 10/02

NZ Arrival NZPost 14/02

Now en-route via NZPost or CourierPost Today to Christchurch

This same supplier via same shipping option used to take 2-3 weeks to me from order.

(Electronic items that can't be found in NZ that I can find = no choice but to wait.)

I made the mistake of waiting until I got back to work to order in early Jan. All deliveries seem to be stuck on "DEPARTED FROM ORIGIN PORT"
