Online stores whose online account registrations make you enter both suburb and city....

Meaning I enter the same value in both fields.

Well it does say 'small things....'.

I don't mind suburb and city - Johnsonville, Wellington. I mind State, so I enter WLG.

I find it odd that those systems think my city is Wellington, when there is 80km of countryside and mountains between here and there....!

There's no harm in a Suburb field, but it shouldn't be mandatory.

And worse yet is AliExpress, which gives you a "Town" drop-down list based on the "State", but doesn't actually include my town in the list.

that someone decided that the open/close button for PC DVD drives would be best positioned under the tray

That someone decided that the headphone port on my PC should be just above the DVD drive... so the cable periodically gets "eaten" when closing the tray.

Better than the designer of the Macintosh LCII who put the on/off button just under the disk drive.

The amount of times I managed to shut one of them down when trying to eject a disc...

Are you sure? I'm 90% sure that the LC had its power switch on the back, and the LC III did it through software. Neither machine had an eject button for the floppy drive (done through software). Admittedly I've never used an LC II but it'd surprise me if the layout was completely different... and I may of course be misremembering!

Edit: No power button there...

But similar issues came from the keyboard layout on the Acorn Archimedes, where Alt-Break asked whether to quit the current app, Ctrl-F12 opened a console window, and Ctrl-Break rebooted the machine with no further confirmation. The number of times I rebooted when trying to get to the command line or close an app...

Come to think of it, at least one model of those had the power button on the front!

You're right! The LCII made a nicely sloped footrest under my desk, the Performa 6115 had the power button right under the floppy drive...

Wow, never seen one of those! Still must be better than my brother's old ...5220? which was once given the dubious award of worst Mac ever made.

Edit: 5200.

That Apple decided that all 4 USB sockets, the headphone socket, the SD card reader and the Lightning ports were all best put on the rear of my iMac where I cannot see them and have to stand up and lean over the screen to see what I am doing when plugging things in...!

Technical product salesmen that won't answer very specific questions posed to them by customers. I'm dealing with one f#$ktard at the moment who only answers questions that haven't actually been asked. For example if you asked him "How many items are there in a dozen?" he would reply "That may be possible."
