dudalemon:richms: I've had several shockers from noel leeming and harvey norman online recently. Harvey went to the top of the shytelist but were quickly replaced with noel leeming over another order being stuffed around. Its just endemic with retailers in NZ that treat their online as a side business instead of the main focus.
I went into Noel Leeming today and they told me that dicksmith no longer counts as a competitor for price match because of their situation. Are they pulling one over me or is this true?
Dunnersfella: Noel Leeming do try their best to avoid price-matching these days - their T's&C's are clear, but the spirit of 'matching any price AND offering FlyBuys' isn't really kept up.
FlyBuys cost businesses money, so offering to match stupid low prices + give FlyBuys would have their owners squirming.
E3xtc: My order of 3 x packs of AA batteries and 3 x packs of AAA batteries arrived today....in 6 boxes....yup, boxes, not courier bags (which they would have fitted), and certainly not in 1 courier bag (which they all would have fitted)...surely someone is having a laugh :\
nigelj: I got 3 "Please find attaced your invoice" e-mails from "DSE" today from an order with 5 items, so assuming 3 shipments. Had a look at the e-mail headers and my SPF checker threw up the warning "Softfail (domain owner discourages use of this host)", using a NZ dse mail server, with their dicksmith.com.au domain. Kind of all fits with what is happening, and to be honest "Softfail" seems to describe DSE perfectly at the current moment. The hardfail can't be that far away?
benokobi: Went into the new 5 mile store in Queenstown looks very bare and they had no playstation or Xbox accessories games or consoles.
Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
