Rikkitic:Android apps that would be really useful, except they only work properly with a touch interface. Surely proper mouse support isn't too much to ask?
I have found a good workaround to that. With Android I have had to find workarounds for almost everything. It may be great for phones, but it's a real can of worms for everything else.
Anyway, go to the app store and install Adaptive Rotation Lock. It works brilliantly to keep your screen the way you want it when brainless phone apps try to change it.

Supermarket bakeries who sell in-house baked loose items, where the per item cost is higher than the cost of the same thing packed in excessive plastic packaging (also baked in-house)!!!
Countdown - looking at you...

Apart from the odd tablet, what else actually runs it?

Mate, dont you have an Android TV?
Yes but why would I rotate the screen on a TV?

MikeB4: Some Chromebooks run Android Apps
Oh. OK.
I have the same issue with some iPad apps: they only work in vertical orientation and I use mine with a keyboard in horizontal orientation almost exclusively so those apps just prove annoying.

The point is some apps assume everything is a phone and they rotate the screen so everything is vertical and there seems to be no way to counteract this. This creates a problem when the app in question also pushes things sideways off the screen and there is no way to get at them because the app also thinks everything in the world is a touchscreen. I just had this again with the Pluto TV app and Adaptive Rotation Lock was a lifesaver.

The probability of an event is quoted without time context
e.g. "the probability of a magnitude 7 earthquake hitting Canterbury is less than 1 percent"
Is it 1% per second? per millennium?

They do this with elections too. "37% voted for X"
37% of what? The eligible voters? The percentage of voters who actually voted? The entire population?

NZ Companies which make promises like:
"If its wrong u knw ill fix or redund so not to worry"
Inspires faith - NOT! (Their spelling sends alarm bells, let alone the result itself to my complaint!)
And over a month since providing proof that they supplied the wrong / inferior product - still nothing happens!
No wonder so much is done on eBay etc!

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

Or when their wife is pregnant they say "we are pregnant". Only Royalty ought to say that.

I laughed yesterday. I was reading about Tesla's new solar roof tiles. They offer the service as a complete job - they come, remove and take away your old roof and re-roof with their solar tiles.
The tiles have a warranty period of "infinity"!
