NZ Companies which make promises like:

"If its wrong u knw ill fix or redund so not to worry"   Inspires faith - NOT! (Their spelling sends alarm bells, let alone the result itself to my complaint!) And over a month since providing proof that they supplied the wrong / inferior product - still nothing happens!   No wonder so much is done on eBay etc!

Bring back LV Martin - their "It's the putting right that counts" really did work, on the one occasion I had to put it to the test.

Selling an old (30 years) used vehicle 'as is" on TM.  After less than a day, I've had 25 text messages asking if I'll do a cash deal outside TM (no), there are 120 "bidders/watchers", 5 bids and not one person has asked about viewing the vehicle.  I'm becoming very confident that some idiot will win the auction by paying far too much, sight unseen - and that they will consider this to be entirely my fault.

Installing desktop office 365 apps!

It used to be so simple and easy. Today, it has been a good 6 hours of fiddling, googling, tweaking, unistalling, reinstalling and running troubleshooters to get (a) Outlook to recognise my Office 365 account and (b) to validate that my licence was valid.

The local council has released a document detailing some proposed speed limit changes. One street is proposed to change from 60 km/h to 50. The "reason for change" column states "reduce speed limit past main retail area". That is an effect, not a reason!

That a domain name that I have with Freeparking is up for renewal and they want 50% more for renewal for 2 years than what it cost for 2 years to start with!

Registered a .nz domain with them 2 years ago for $50+GST for 2 years.

Just received the renewal notice and it is now $74.10+GST for the renewal for 2 more years!

Might have to move it!

No hosting or email involved...simply cloaked re-direction.

Every summer, my wife and I wish we were taking commission as heat pump salesmen.

My bedroom is a cool 18 C with probably 40% humidity all night, every night! SWMBO tells colleagues who complain about their sweaty nights etc every summer. Sometimes one of them even listens and forever more she gets the "I can't believe we waited so long, it's marvellous" speech every time she sees them!

Don't worry, heatpumps are on the list of things to do to the house. But I need to plan them around future renovations. Which means that the first room to get a heatpump, is likely to be the smallest bedroom in the house. As it gets the least amount of sun. And is not going to be affected by the new deck project.

Also due to my job (plumber) I'm often working outside or other places that are either really hot or cold. If my job was working from home, I would have bought heatpumps ages ago.

Our plumber, who did his apprenticeship 2 years before I was born, turns up in those dubious tight blue shorts regardless of the weather, even mid winter!

Another case of an online retailer apparently manually transcribing addresses; address on order confirmation was correct but address on actual package was wrong. Credit to CourierPost for figuring out the right place though!

Not so bad today. It's still hot, but humidity has dropped to 70% from 90+% yesterday. So at least if you perspire, it actually does something.
