Things rarely get lost, they just get delayed. Youshop isn't an express courier service, they're a reasonably priced service. If you want express courier use one of the shippers that uses fedex express.

This is a reasonable comment there...

Yip they get delayed while packages sent days after get delivered. Theres a tui billboard right there..

Edit: I realise its not an express service, and you get what you pay for. Its just disheartening knowing that multiple others have had theres delivered that were sent after ours. We don't even have confirmation it has landed in NZ 8 days after leaving the states. Somethings not right here but delayed? come on.. you would then assume that all future shipments would then also be delayed but thats not what is happening.

techno246: I'm in the same boat here as the other's who had their parcel marked as ship last Wednesday.

I had two packages shipped out. One on Wednesday and one on Thursday. The one shipped on Thursday arrived here in NZ on Monday and got delivered on Wednesday. The other package isn't even here yet :(

Two Parcels arrived today that were shipped on the Wednesday, so i'd imagine you should get them today or tomorrow, if they were in fact in that shipment.

Did you get email confirmation that they arrived in NZ etc, or did they just show up randomly?

That's disheartening. Seems like neither garvani nor I got any sort of confirmation, email or website, that it has arrived in NZ.

I spoke with the online support about my delivery (left Portland 12th, no indication of arriving in NZ) and the initial as was "your item is still on it's way but with the last minute rush lead up to Christmas we have experienced a larger than usual shipment and they are taking a bit longer than expected to arrive and be processed".  When I pointed out that later shipments *had* been delivered, she acknowledged something appeared odd and suggested I contact their International Team (0800 736353) to follow up with them.

Not the end of the world by any means, but just endorses my personal view that alternative shipping options (albeit more expense) might be the preferred approach

Are you going to follow up with the international team? Your right its not the end of the world, but just knowing where it is would be nice. I somewhat assumed i would have my gopro by christmas considering i ordered it on the 29th of November from Amazon! Delay after delay is making that look less likely.

If you ever want your package handled in a timely and professional manner, go for Bundlebox.com. I used to use it before YouPost came out which I thought I'd give a try.

With Bundlebox, you get an email notification 10 minutes after it arrives at their warehouse. They ship it with FedEx within the same day. FedEx takes 2-4 days to arrive with extremely good tracking and a very accurate ETA. If something arrives on Monday, I can usually get it by Wednesday or Thursday the same week.

Only thing is that you pay the premium. About $33 USD for a 500g package. But they do consolidation.

Asmodeus: I had a parcel leave their warehouse on the 15th with an email saying they expect in in AKL in 5-7 days (probably standard blurb though). I will be pleasantly surprised if I have it in my hands by COB on the 24th..

Well b*gger me, I just this minute got an email saying that NZ Post now has it and I should get it in the next 2 days. Looks like I might be pleasntly surprised after all Cool

yeah, indeed I did, and was told that the shipment had arrived in Akl last night and was being processed today.  I assume the "arrived in NZ" email will be sent out today, so (if your item is also in the same shipment) I suspect you'll be fine for pre-Christmas delivery....

My second parcel:

1) Delivered to the Youshop warehouse on 18 Dec (so 19 Dec NZ time)
2) Received an email from Youshop on 20 Dec NZ time
3) Paid the freight in 15 minutes and got email notification right away saying order complete

I would expect another email tomorrow advising parcel on its way to NZ however given this time of the year who would know

I will not be able to get my Kindle Fire HD 8.9 in time for Christmas but still finger crossed for it before the New Year!
