Just watched my 13 year old Grand daughter race her Junior Stock Car here in Palmy.
New Meds means I have not had a migraine for 6 months (11 years of them every day !) and I could cope with the noise...it was freaking AWESOME.
Very Happy Granddad.
Life is good again.
MadEngineer: Amitriptyline?
Need to get some more myself.
Been though all those options, but its CBD oil. There is zero THC in it, you could drink a bathtub full an not get high.
Costs me $300 a month.
I figured I had tried/been prescribed a ton of different stuff by different doctors/neurologists/etc, so what was $300 compared to life. Got some prescribed to see if it would help.
So far..6 months..AWESOME.

Probably better for the politics forum, but the price of CBD in NZ is criminal, all caused by pointless regulation around cannabis. If you were to buy an equivalent from actual criminals it'd cost a fraction of that but if you do it legally you get bled white. And given the ailments it treats it always seems to be older folk who get hit by it, one person I know has to carefully ration it and only use it on particularly bad days because he can't afford too much of it.

Given it comes from industrial hemp, not cannabis, it should be considered no different to olive oil and be effectively considered a food additive
Spending time over the weekend not using my wheelchair.
So I go into my office this morning to discover that overnight that my iMac (M1) had a bad night. It had a mental breakdown by its own words. I have a mental picture of it running around the office, arms waving in the air and then slumping in the corner in a foetal position.
It would seem it had a kernel panic and became catatonic. The poor little alone at night in a dark office in a panic that the bogey was there.

I can see it in my mind's eye...absolutely terrified of the boogeyman and no master to save it from it's impending doom...hence the toal metldown and now catatonic state.
I thought it looked around the office and saw "Windows" and panicked

Local cop still beating the young lads at push ups! Thought this was gold.
"Local cop still beating the young lads" doesn't make me smile as much...
OTOH, "Constable remains unbeaten" is good, even on its own :)

I know how you feel. I was first diagnosed with migraines at age 6 and had them multiple time a week my entire life until I got Covid in February 2021. I have not had a migraine since then. I have even destroyed my stock of Sumatriptan. It was a positive outcome from Covid and a win I gladly take.
Bing getting a little confused here:
Odie the Moon lander developed technical problems en route to the Moon and gave up the opportunity of a touchdown. The spacecraft burned in the Earth’s atmosphere about 10 days after a broken fuel tank and massive leak caused the mission to fail. The crippled lander burnt up in the atmosphere over the Pacific, along with the remains and DNA of more than 70 deceased people on board for a lunar burial.
