kyhwana2: -.- Had something arrive at Youshop on the 2nd 7am NZ time and it's on just shown up as arrived on Youshops system today at 3pm. (The 5th). WTF.

So much for 3rd times a charm!

What other shippers do people use that are better?

I also use Comgateway, but you will pay a hell of a lot more for not having patience. I used Youshop for the past 4 orders in the past 2 weeks and its been really good value, each one I compared to Comgateway but the difference for an extra 3 or 4 days didnt stack up.

Can you give us an idea of how much more and how much faster?

is it twice the price and 1/2 the delivery time?

Both sites have shipping calculators you can enter your package details and work out the cost.

Looks like NZPost have released an Android app for tracking your parcels.

I just paid for 2 shipments this Thursday.

I did not use any promo code for my Kindle, but the shipment price is about the same as the ones posted here after applying the promo code.

Not sure if it is due to the Exchange rates or if there is a change in shipment price.

I think it is quite cheap enough without any promo code.

OK, just checking.

The postage for what I've got is expensive actually. Probably double what I expected.

Anyway, its still to be able to use the service. Smile

Got my VFF's via youshop today! They were "On the way to New Zealand" when they turned up at 8am.. then they "arrived" in NZ at 12:01pm and then were "delivered" at 12:02pm. XD

Then instead of Youshop, you should try Shipito or the other ones, and try their consolidation service
Reduce the size of box Amazon send your items with.

Last time I ordered a pc, but the pc only took up 1/3 of the actual packaging with lots of air bubbles inside the shipping box. I must have paid twice as much for the postage >.<

Just had my first parcel since the madness of December arrive (arrived this morning via UPS and got the notification of it arriving this afternoon - so better than than days delay in December)

Even though the parcel was bigger than I expected, I ended up saving $30US by shipping via YouShop verses direct

Their tracking is appalling.

I have a parcel they claim is still with customs.  It was delivered to me last week.

This tweet made me laugh:

It seems that NZ Post (a postal service) doesn't know how one of the largest exporters in the world actually work.

(If you don't know, as said before, if you don't mind waiting Amazon will send a single package when all items are available but you have to check a box to set this, otherwise it will send all available items together, then the other items later in separate packages as they become available. So it's not a "lately" thing but how it's been working for years).

Even this is wrong.

You select if you want your order to arrive together as a preference and as a cost saving measure to avoid paying for each package to ship separately but it is at Amazon's discretion. Even if you request order to ship as a single package THEY can choose to ship items to you as they arrive in stock but they will not charge extra shipping for this.

The reason being that your items may be housed in different warehouses across the country and they aren't going to combine them into a single shipment for you in that case.
