You missed the joke. There's only one right answer to this question, ever and Google is right - Nazis were not, are not and never will be good people. There's no "let's have a second look" in this specific case, regardless of what "liberals" or "conservatives" say.

Sadly, the right or wrong answer depends on when and where you were brought up to believe in those beliefs. Worse still, The world has not progressed much.

For all intents and purposes I am referring to NOW and HERE since my reply was in the present tense. We know for sure that Nazis are not nice people. We know for sure Neonazis are not nice people.

Anyone who disagrees has a serious perception problem.

You're right! I've just asked Google "Are Nazis good people?" and all the answers clearly express the opposite - Nazis aren't good people according to Google.

It must be a conspiracy!

/sarcasm

I'm sorry but Google's answer is wrong. The answer should have been "... weren't good people" or the question should have been "Are Neonazis good people?"

There is conspiracy and historical forgery!

/sarcasm

Aha! But, you see, that's the whole point. Their AI isn't perfect! It has effectively stated that Nazis DO still exist!!!! And OBVIOUSLY the media (including Google) is covering that up. Gotta go... there's a black helicoptwer at the door.

I personally still use Google. It has the answers I need, and I don't subscribe the "they censor the Internet" conspiracy theories.

Ask it something a liberal do gooder would really dislike.

You'll only get results that counter the point of view expressed in the question and almost none, of any, that support it....

No. But it is censorship because dollars to Donuts there's articles it there saying they are good people. However Google never showed those, putting instead only one possible answer to your question: the one it would prefer you to believe rather than allowing you to make your mind up.

So many youngsters get so much of their information from Google that that sort of slanting could actually have a measurable effect in due course.

You're being too simplistic unless you care to define Nazis in this context. For example, 18 year old Wolfgang was drafted to the German army and was expected to join the Party. Technically then, b he is a Nazi.

He may also have been a nice person, forced by circumstances far beyond his control to join a Party he had no wish otherwise to join.

Indeed, there's an article in the Daily Telegraph about the German occupation of the Channel Islands and the headline reads

'We saw the Nazis as human beings': the complicated truth about life in occupied Guernsey'

Perhaps Google would have returned that historically interesting article. Then again, perhaps not...

The only edit was to remove the excessive, unnecessary quotation.

Not too simplistic. If by inaction they let it happen then they're complicity.

I think this discussion is too much off topic  now and needs to go no further.

In my culture the use of THAT sentence as "ultima ratio" would imply a total loss of democratical authority. But luckily, this is NZ and not Europe. :-)

But I fully agree with you, this is not the right place for political discussions and simplifications.

I missed a call last night on our landline, from a "private caller" who left a brief message, transcribed:

"Hey Dawn, I'm back in the loony bin - South ward"
"How come none of you F**ckers ever come to visit me?"
"Anyway, bye"

I don't know a "Dawn", never heard of a "South ward", but I'm almost 100% sure I have the answer to the question.

Is the above post really "Something Small That Annoys You"?
It seems to be in the wrong thread.
Politics is over there-------------->

Edit: Oooops, thread two above as Fred99 beat me to it.
