The fact that I have never been able to use any fountain pen, since like President Obama, I write with my left hand (in other things I am right-handed or ambidextrous). This means my hand brushes the paper immediately after the pen, smearing the ink into an illegible mess.

Bit bigger really.

People who take advantage of the extremely vulnerable.

This has been devastating to the victim. Why do seemingly good people do such evil things?

Because there is money in it and people are animals that are biologically programmed to gather resources to enable their survival.  An easy way to do this is to exploit people who are weaker than you in some way.

It's always the same people that seem to get exploited.

Sucks but an unfortunate part of our animal nature.  The ethic of fairness/honesty is not as wide spread as we would like to think.

How do people get on in countries that write from right to left?  Are they predominantly left handed writers?

I used to have a friend who could write in spiegelschrift. It always impressed me but I have a hard enough time producing a legible scrawl the right way around.

That is a good question. I have often wondered. All I know is I cannot get along with pens that produce copious amounts of slow-drying ink, even some ballpoints. I remember going through a period when I was young that I experimented with this and really tried hard to make it work because I was bugged that I couldn't. I never succeeded.

In the long term justice will be served I guess. But, it doesn't help with the immediate issue.

Hmmmm... "belief in Karma".

(Personal observation: Many people who are malicious @rseholes seem to live long and prosper - if Karma is true, it must happen in the afterlife)

Fortunately we won't need to rely on karma for justice.

110g toothpaste tubes - why not a 100g so its undoubtedly ok for flying??

I suspect because toothpaste density is >1g/1mL that it's under 100mL, but I'm not sure if airport security will buy that one.

Badly ported software. I'm on Windows and I'm trying to run something that's been ported across from the Unix world. Except it can't connect to any SSL servers because it's completely ignoring the certificates that have been installed the normal Windows way...

I'm sure its on here already, but it really ticks me off when people say (or write) 'would of'.

I would of gone home.

It's 'would have' or maybe 'would've'.

Oh and also - when did "I lucked in" start meaning the same as "I lucked out"?

Used to be you were "In luck" = Lucky.

Or "Out of luck" = Unlucky.

So logically "Lucked in" - surely it means "In luck" or Lucky and "Lucked out" surely meant out of luck - But apparently they mean the same thing - WTF?

'Lucked out' is an Americanism that has been around forever. I have never heard 'lucked in'. I think, but don't really know, that it is used in the sense of 'I got out of that one', or 'I found my way out (of trouble) rather than being out of luck.
