People who keep nagging me to get a bloody cellphone.

My sister gave me a basic Samsung one a couple of years ago. It's been sitting in a drawer for most of those couple of years. I got a younger friend of mine to make it go again, and it's handy to take photos with as I don't have a digital camera any more.

Can I make phone calls with it? No, and I don't usually carry it around anyway.

Can anyone call me on it? No, I don't know its phone number anyway.

I also have a cellphone. It was given to me as a Christmas gift many years ago. I think it is still sitting on a shelf somewhere.

I have one and use it daily. I can look up information, read funny stories, send messages, take photos, and ignore it when it *shudder* rings.

Yeah I'd be hard pressed to not have a phone. It almost replaces so many devices. Need to know where I am next week, flights booked, photos, archived photos going 15 years, maps, keep in touch with friends overseas, ring people occasionally....

What is the purpose of the little ring at the end of a pair of tongs? All it seems to do is change them from functional tongs into non-functional, and why would you want a non-functional pair? Gravity also has a habit of getting in the way and changing the "mode" while you're trying to use the things...

I use it all the time.  They take up less room in the utensil drawer that way, and are less likely to get tangled amongst the other utensils when you pull them out.

Ugh, here we go again. I've used a registry "hack" to restore the "Open command window here" option in Windows 10, but I got an update last night and it's been replaced with PowerShell (again). I figured that I should do some research, but the result was predictable:

Forum post: How can I stop this from being removed with every update?

Reply: Just use PowerShell instead.

What's the point in replying if you're not going to answer the question?

Edit: Argh! It's unilaterally changed my keyboard layout too!

Ahh, that makes sense when they're in a drawer.

Got stuck in traffic congestion, because someone approved a house to be transported on the motorway. When that same motorway had been narrowed to 1 lane due to roadworks. Cue lots of hasty re arrangement of a few million road cones

Whoever is in charge of issuing overwidth permits at NZTA forgot to check the list of planned road works.

Poorly-chosen bank account names. I just saw a several hundred dollar transaction in my account for "PayPal *xbox" and got a horrified feeling as thought it was some sort of attack... until I realised that it's actually a legitimate payment that I made last week which has nothing at all to do with Xbox. The guy's PayPal username is probably "xboxgamer" or something.

The latest reboot. A little bit of my childhood just died:

Seems to be Rick and Morty meets Thundercats. Save me if Transformers receives this kind of treatment.

- Ram Prices

- GPU Prices

- Prices of CPU's that can overclock

- Motherboard Prices (seem to have snuck up over the years)

- Laptop Prices (instead of getting cheaper - they just introduce crappier models - Atom rebrands I'm looking at you)

- Prices of computer stuff in general

- Trademe doesn't seem to have bargains on any of the above

- Hardware requirements to emulate old consoles *dolphin - ahem*

- Windows 10 Forcing updates

- Quality of said updates

- People that moan about Windows 10

and the finally ultimate of small things....drumroll please...

- Facebook buy & sell users mucking you around, and generally being cancer* (sorry for being inconsiderate)

Special mentions: the crypto-currency craze, price-fixing, and greed in general.

I prefer to be unable to be contacted, unless I'm at home. Which is one of the big reasons I don't carry a cellphone everywhere I go. I can happily use the internet from the laptop in our lounge to my heart's content.

Dual function, to keep it from jamming up the storage tray and an IQ test haha.

Actually ours is a better design and has a button thing to lock it in the closed position.
