So you disagree that two new tyres should be fitted to the rear?

Front or back, I agree that video is a piece of crap.
Lurch: If you're in Auckland Mega tyre in Browns Bay, top notch service. Great prices on tyres.
Small shop, one man band. But will give you straight up and honest advice.

Just have ute in for 4 tyres today at Tony's Tyres. There is a buy 3 get 4 deal on Bridgestone and Firestone tyres until end of month. If you have to but two, it might be better to buy an extra tyre and get 4.
Only thing keeping you on the road.
If you know that 2 will fail and 2 will pass, Easier to replace in your own time and then get WoF. If it is touch and go as to which will pass, then go for a WoF first with the plan to get whatever tyres are needed on same day.

That wasn't the question.
The point being, the principal of handling with new tyres on front or back is still there regardless of video quality.
oxnsox:
What difference do you get with RWD Vs FWD in the same situation (and same tyre choices)?
My guess is that where you put the new set of tyres (front or rear) is as much about where the driven wheels on the car are as it is about anything else... (weather, road condition, driver ability, etc)

sleemanj: Go try for the WoF FIRST.
Reason? Because if you fail on something else, like, CVs, rack boot, tie rods... then your alignment is going to need doing, so if you go to a tyres and alignment place, you might save a little coin since they can do both jobs at once!
