Tracking would show accepted by now. If you do get the tyres I guarantee they will have camber wear, cracks or repairs

@freitasm: Wait until tomorrow to assert the tracking is fake - as I said it may take a few hours to appear on NZ Post website.

Normally I'd say that's sound advice, but if NZ Post don't ship tyres then even if it turns out to be a genuine number it's not going to be what @PetAT paid for.

The irony is that trademe will take exception to any vigilante type internet justice on obviously dodgy sellers so that they can protect their revenue stream from them.

This happened ages ago with it-pro, another person people should blacklist, who buys used PC parts then sells them "as new" at a much higher price. Obviously nothing stopping him from doing that but it's a dick move really.

Anyway, trademe will do nothing because they make easy money off these power sellers so will be as hands off as possible so as not to lose revenue from them

Good luck reporting this to the police.  I reported an identity fraud to them 2 months ago, and I'm still waiting for my report even to be acknowledged.

I agree with ludez, doubt NZ post tracking number will turn up even in the system, and even if it does then the tyres will likely be crap or might just be something else in the box. Lol..what a muppet..

and if the police wont head I will head straight to the tribunal / small claims court and the bank itself.

Oh and I just reported his $250,000 personalized plate, 7.

Isn't he even required to post a picture to prove that he owns the plate or rather has it in his possession, as in post a real picture of it next to a nz newspaper or something like that? Last time I was selling some stuff worth a few grand I was asked to provide pictures like that to prove I owned what I was selling or rather I had what I said I was selling. Its funny how this guy keep operating after such vile and low attempts of robing people.

EDIT:

Looks like he has listed another $225,000 Plate. LOL..

I'm tempted to post this on his auction: https://carjam.co.nz/car/?plate=7

But that would ruin the fun.

Totally full of crap. He just dodges the question about an actual photo of this plate that he "owns".

I got ripped off 5 years ago. Bought a head for a BMW. Trademe didn't do jack, so I went to the local police station. Long story short, trademe then contacted me, and so did the New Plymouth Police. He went to jail (had ripped off others), and I'm still waiting for my reparation.

Just take all paperwork, screenshots printed, bank details, etc. to your local police station.

I am collecting all of this for the police, the court and his bank for monetary, psychological and physical reparations due to his actions.

Looks like the plate 7 is no longer on the merc (hence why I updated my original post)

Not sure how you can find out who owns a plate that's not currently fitted on a car. The best I can find is how to verify is someone is the owner

Just finished putting down everything, all ready to be printed out and signed and handed over to the police, court and bankers, however I am giving tomorrow the reason of doubt, although deep down I know its a lost cause, people like these only understand retribution.

@logo what do you say about the other plate "K" he is selling, seems that was never put even on a car or rather no records of it on carjam!

Just out of interest, how much time has passed since you made your payment?
