My typos have become so bad that I run everything through an old version of Word first. Most software like that, including free stuff, has editing functions that can correct typos. Just feed it the typos you commonly make and tell it what they should be and the problem is solved.

Accounting systems that don't calculate GST line by line, but on the total causing rounding issues later on!

You are supposed to do it on the entire invoice, not line by line tho?

Another possible source of error, is calculating your GST liability by adding up the GST amount of each invoice. Vs adding up the GST exclusive amounts, then using that total to calculate the GST.

My old boss got a nasty letter from the IRD, demanding payment of $35 of short paid GST. She had been filling out the GST returns using the numbers from her invoicing software. Except that the software was calculating it wrong. Turnover would have been over $100K.

BPme pay-at-pump. Awesome.

Scratchy free prize draw at BP... Love free stuff. :)

BPme & scratchy... great again, I can type in the scratchy code into BPme.

But what if I pay-at-pump & don't get a physical scratchy? -- Nice one, BP! They thought of that, and I can still enter the draw via the app. Yay!

BUT! When I click on the "try for a free prize" button in the app, it pops up a QR label on my phone's screen. WTF??? Oh, wait, BP helpfully adds insult to injury by adding a label "Scan me". WTAF??? It's on my phone's screen, so I can't use the phone's camera to capture the QR code. Does BP expect me to take my phone to a scanner, capture the image from screen onto paper, then scan the photocopy with my phone? WhyTF couldn't the "try for a free prize" button take me to wherever that QR code links to?

SMH.

Isn't the scan thing to wave under the barcode reader at the till inside so they can confirm your purchase?

I haven't bothered because the whole reason for BP Me is avoiding going inside and further holding up the line of cars waiting to fill up.

This is not little its disgusting An Auckland man has laid a complaint with the Human Rights Commission after he was kicked out of a shop for being in a wheelchair.

Inexcusable. Almost anywhere else it would be illegal. If the damned shop is too stuffed with crap to enable wheelchair access, then they need to widen the aisles. Most pathetic excuse I have ever heard. Those people need a lesson in how to respect others.

Some systems do handle this situation. Especially because some customers like GST exclusive line items, some like inclusive line items.  There are various issues that can occur with both scenarios but good accounting systems will use internal ledgers to correct for this.

Several intersections in Auckland, around motorway on/off ramps from what I've seen, now feature 'up' arrows for traffic going straight through the intersection. Dumbing down of lights as an alternative to proper driver training?

I saw a jacket online which is reversible, with different designs on each side. The description says that it's like getting two jackets for the price of one. It costs twice as much as their other jackets.

... and finally lasts as half as long as two jackets. :-)
