If I do the dishes at a friends house, I will put away the things that are obvious, and leave a tidy pile of the things I have no idea about for this very reason - I'd hate to put stuff away where the host cannot then later find them.

Behodar:

I seem to be having an "interesting" run of websites this week: I've just found another oddity, namely a page that loads on the phone but 404s on the desktop. If I set my desktop's user agent to a phone browser then it loads correctly.

Same.

Watching a movie on a cellphone on a boat, enjoying the movie, then half way through it's full of foreign language and subtitled - with text about 2mm high.

Google's Captcha is no longer content with me just ticking "I'm not a robot" and it now wants me to select all cars, traffic lights, etc. I can't imagine that I've ever shown any tendency to being a robot (at least I hope not!) so I wonder why it's pestering me all of a sudden.

Is it Google I should blame for that? I just tried logging onto Discord on my phone (which annoys me by regularly forgetting my login details). I did the "I am not a robot" three times due to the size of the images. I then had to get my authentication key, and the time for that caused me to need to login from the beginning again.

Phone calls in open plan offices. Maybe it's just louder when they have a headset on.

Indeed, that's how it always used to behave for me. I'm logged into my account, I've had the same computer for about 3 years, and the same IP address for about 6, so I don't know why it suddenly doesn't "trust" me.

Nah google have probably obtained more street view imagery and are trying to get you to help their AI learn and process different things. Just part of a giant machine.

For me they seem to have moved on from traffic lights and have now started asking me to identify chimneys.

Maybe it's for your Annual Santa Claus exam?

Trying to get a $30 Cash Back from Nespresso/Nestlé on a coffee machine bought from Harvey Norman

Getting a right royal run-around and getting extremely pissed off with being fobbed off time and time again.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Been /still there, doing that! - Cashback still pending!

Took 4 phone calls to Nespresso over 3 weeks. Last phone call resulted in escalation to Sydney ... who phoned back (31 December).... and coffee credit was applied 15 minutes later.

Cashback - STILL WAITING! (Claim accepted 30 NOVEMBER!)

Moral of the story:

DON'T buy a Nespresso Machine BASED on getting anything back!

(I have no problem with the machines - just getting anything promised back!)

Also, sad as it may sound - I'm glad I'm not the only one having hassles! I thought it was just me!

(Also bought from Harvey Norman)

Edit: Corrected Company Name

@eracode fixed the previous post for you. It is a breach of FUG to use funny names for companies. It is not acceptable here.
