I apologize but we currently do not have replacement lenses available for the Double Edge because they are so new. What I would recommend is contacting our warranty department to see if they have them available there since we do not have them on our website.

OK I will do that now. Just out of interest, did you know that the website lists 19 different replacement Double Edge lenses and allows me to put them in my cart?

You are lucky he/she didn't go. "I am happy I was able to fix that for you, is there anything else I can do for you today Sir"? :D

It hasn't got me anywhere. The lady in the US told me to contact the Auckland store. I rang them and some grumpy, unhelpful person just said "we don't have any of those" so I said that Oakley in the US had told me to contact them so they could order them. He very ungraciously said, in a tone that suggested customers interrupted his phone browsing,  "I'll order them but we don't stock them so I expect that's the message I will get. I will call you. What's your number?"

I gave him the number, but my expectations of hearing from him again are not high...

How would I do that?

11:44:43 a.m.
To contact our warranty department you would fill out the form listed here: digitalwarranty.luxottica.com/

11:45:09 a.m.
OK. Just to be clear though, I am not trying to get them fixed under warranty.

11:45:53 a.m.
Correct, so when you fill out the form, you would specify that you need the lenses replaced and the lenses are not available on the website.

Okay, I apologize if they are on the website then you should be able to place an order for them.

(Turns out you can't as they do not ship outside the US...!)

Why don't you just order them and get them sent via Youshop?

Why is Google so bad these days? I did a search for "MediaWiki DNS binding" and the first hit doesn't contain "DNS" or "binding".

Google has bought Zach? lol

Or maybe it's because the people who have "DNS" and "binding" in their webpages aren't paying Google as much as those who don't?

People who think the helpdesk can help them with anything

People who bitch about the person on the helpdesk who just took their call after they have "ended" the call because the "helpdesk did not help"

However that is IT in a nutshell right

You can't buy your way onto the organic search results (the regular search results, not the ads).

Here is an interesting commentary from a few months ago on our governments in general. They all seem pretty good. Even this one.

Oakley used to be awesome, Good design and tech, made in the USA which partially justified the high prices.  Then they got brought by Luxottica and became part of the great global glasses rip off.  Now half the models are made in China and you can get prescription lenses (from OPSM anyway) in a grand total of one model.  They prices haven't dropped but then glasses in general are eye wateringly expensive.

I agree. Also You Tube. Try as I might, I cannot restrict search results to videos in English.

Especially YouTube. There is a lot of good content, but the interface is such an inflexible cluttered mess that I have pretty much stopped using it.
