Ge0rge: When you take some time to write a decent and respectful reply to a thread (painfully, on a phone) only to be greeted with "The page you requested was removed" when you hit post.

Sigh.

If you are meaning this thread.

I got the same error message. But my post somehow still managed to end up on the thread, even after that thread was moved.

The CCC yellow recycle bins and the remarkable coincidence that strong winds seems to coincide with yellow bin collection day.  There's garbage strewn all around our neigbourhood this morning, for the umpteeenth time.  Much of it will end up in the Chch estuary.

These bins are a problem, they're unstable when filled with lightweight recyclables.  I guess because all the collection trucks have hydraulic clamps etc to pick up and dump them, it'd be a major job to change the system.

Can't believe Cadburys has got smaller AGAIN. It gone from 250grams > 220g (I think) > 200g > 180g.

Mostly go for Whittakers, but still...

You read something on NZ Herald or a proper news site, you click back but just as you click back you spot something that looks worth a read but you've gone back already, so you click forwards again but, hey presto, its gone.

People that walk behind my car as I'm reversing. COME ON. You can see the damn car reversing so don't walk behind it! Either wait a second or like, cross over to where I'm not reversing. IT'S A BIG CARPARK! You don't have to be in this particular spot but car has has to be in mandated spaces and NOW I'M TRYING TO GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE SO GO AWAY!

*sigh*

I'm calm.

Reverse into the park. Much easier.

Unless angle parking, in which case ignore me :)

Hitting them front on is so much better?

Yes, then you can look them in the eye when you mow them down, much more satisfying :)

Those same people insist on walking behind you while you're reversing into the carpark.

Works about as well as me trying to get the other half to a) reverse into a parking spot at all, ever and b) getting the other half to drive through those paired parking spaces so you can drive out without having to reverse in or reverse out.

Wellington City Council issued out to households a Wheelie bin clip. It goes through the handle on the top, and clips under the edge bit on the top of the bin itself.

Maybe lobby the CCC to do the same?

Link to the WCC Clip, for those that may have missed out.

Safewaste are the provider of the clip to WCC

I have an electric blanket with heating controls which includes an on/off switch, and digital controls for heat level, and time.  But for some bizarre reason when you turn it on, it defaults to 0 heat level and 1 (hour) time.  While I can appreciate that, for safety reasons, they might want to avoid setting a default heat level (though even at level 1 it's barely warmer than not turning it on at all), do they really think that anyone would turn on an electric blanket but have it set at no heat for one hour?  Better to have both set to 1 (minimum heat, minimum 1 hour).

martyyn: People who start for sale threads without a location.

Just realised I inadvertently did this yesterday - but courier was included in the asking price - so no real necessity for a pickup address.

(As it happened, it sold within 15 minutes, I received the money within 20 minutes and shipped it within 30 minutes.)

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
