TV aliens. I don't care that they somehow speak English but the amazing coincidence that they nearly all seem to be built on anthropoid morphology and possess human facial characteristics just completely undermines my ability to suspend disbelief. How is it that throughout our near-infinite universe, biological evolution keeps coming up with simian templates for advanced life forms, complete with five fingers and toes? Intelligent or not, the Designer sure seems to be lacking imagination.

I feel the same about why we call the boot of a car the boot, there is seldom boots in there or shoes, there is 45,673 empty shopping bags though. The US trunk is probably more accurate as cars of old had large boxes or trunks on the back to carry lunch, goods, bodies, dogs etc etc .
