Buying Jumbo size 8 eggs that appear to be the same size and weight and size 7s.

Someone may have swapped them over in the supermarket.

Well they were between two of those shaped cardboard things (top and bottom) and wrapped in plastic, so you conveniently couldn't see what you were getting. I had two size 7 eggs left and they looked the same and weighed pretty much the same, 65-70g.

Still they were only 10 cents more and it might have been a one off. I still blame Trump though.

When companies introduce new products you would like to use, make their use dependent on an app and then release the app for only one mobile OS which is not the one your phone runs...!

It's frustrating. In recent years there's been a big influx of undocumented hardware. How do you do X? "Use our closed-source app".

And then an OS update breaks the app. But the company that made the app is no longer supporting it. And / Or the app and hardware are also reliant on a server somewhere staying online. And that server goes offline, as the company cant be bothered paying for upkeep on something that is not providing ongoing revenue.

Opened up Edge on a freshly-built machine. Started typing an address. Halfway through typing, it stole keyboard focus so it could pop up a thing about how great Edge is.

Hearing a track that you clearly recall hearing as a teenager, realising exactly what age you were due to an association of the track with a person, place or event - and then realising that it was 36 years ago...and that you won't see out another 36 years.

Realising that 36 years ago, I wasn't even a teenager any more.

How companies always take security/safety/whatever "incredibly seriously".

Just once I would like to see one admit that they don't really give a sh¡t.

I'm going through my second childhood at the moment - looking forward to my second teenage years.

Any similar pointless statements about things like privacy.

Air NZ has one at the moment which says that if you ring them up and ask them to do something, you are also giving them permission to use your information to do it. Well, duh.

You can probably thank Europe for that, they like to make places have to spell out obvious things to people.

I got an update notification for iOS which lists a couple of fixes for the Messages app. I installed it, and the very first thing I noticed is that the Videos app is now gone and has been replaced with a completely different "TV" app. Why, oh why don't they write change logs that actually list all the changes?!

That, after the brouhaha over plastic bags in supermarkets, millions of litres of milk, orange juice etc are sold by the same supermarkets that banned plastic bags...in large plastic bottles, each of which probably contains the equivalent plastic of many plastic bags.

Where is the shift to recyclable Tetrapaks?
