freitasm: BBCode? It is standard, what is wrong with it?

It's a pain to use on mobile. Square brackets is on the 3rd keyboard and forward slash is on the second keyboard. It might not seem like much but posting a quick url requires much more effort that it might seem (for me at least - I don't cut code all day).

DarthKermit:

Handle9: [damn near anything] on a mobile phone. Just painful compared to the desktop experience.

Fixed that for you.

That's not my experience. Most larger sites have apps or mobile responsive sites which work pretty well on mobile.

Do the brackets at the same time then insert the bit in the middle.

Whichever way you do it it's not a great UX. If I have to think about a workflow to post a url in a forum it's not great.

I also totally understand that this site is not produced by a large company with lots of development resources. It's Mauricios baby that he build from the ground up so I don't have the same expectations as a corporate site.

It still bugs me though!

I'm afraid I've joined that club this year. Not really been too good since the end of January. Finally (I say with optimism) coming right...

Spotify on CarPlay.

Recently replaced my factory head unit with another factory head unit with CarPlay. Fantastic, except Spotify. Full of bugs, tells me I'm offline when I'm not, constantly needs to be restarted and don't get me started about album track order. When I listen to an album I like to listen to it in the order that the artist originally intended. Spotify allows me to do that on my phone but not when using CarPlay? The album track list order on Carplay is neither numerical, nor alphabetical. It could only be described as all over the bloody place!

You mean something like the TradeMe message board forums. 😉

When you are meeting other people at a holiday destination and they arrive a few days before you. If I see another photo of Bali this week...

Web-based forms that still have fields (often compulsory) for Home and Work phone numbers.

My work's intranet homepage was exactly like this for >5 years, except it darted horizontally rather than vertically.

I've been an android user for years, but tried an iPhone again for a week last year. We have Android Auto/CarPlay in the car, and I'm very used to playing with Spotify in Android Auto. One of the things that annoyed me the most is that on Android, I can use voice to play music via Spotify. It's my default music app, but even if it wasnt, I can just say "play on Spotify" and it works flawlessly. On CarPlay, you can only use Siri with Apple Music - everything else she doesn't allow. IIRC, it was the same with using Google Maps - No Siri unless you use Apple Maps.

When people mention they're going on holiday soon and I get envious because I have no current plans to.
