Been watching The Crown from netflix. The show outline didn't enthrall me much but the Mrs wanted to watch. After the first episode I was pretty impressed and the show just continues to deliver. Really good writing, good acting and interesting piece of history. Highly recommend.

We're really enjoying The Crown. I second the recommendation!

3% on Netflix.

SciFi, future where the poor compete for a place in the Offshore where life is easy. Only 3% of candidates succeed, hence the name.

Not to strenuous 7/10.

Subtitled as in Portuguese.

I've been checking out Incorporated.  Very cool new sci-fi.  I'm liking it.  Great use of CGI to show future tech concepts.  Recommended.

I checked this out based on your recommendation and am enjoying it, thanks.

Yeah, that was a really good series!  OA is another one kind of along the same Psycho-SciFi genre.  Agreed though... 3% was excellent even though it was subtitled all the way through.

Another mini-series we're neck-deep into at the moment - A Good Wife.  It's along the same lines as Suits.  If you like good "lawyer" shows, you'll enjoy this one.  The number of actors they run through it is quite large.  In spite of having MS, you can see where Michael J. Fox does a great job when he appears.

SATTV:

Rake ( the Australian version )

The Last Ship ( S2 was not great but S1 and S3 were good )

Last Man standing.

I am revisiting my childhood and am watching CHiPs, it has more cheese than a 70's fondue.

John

Rake was great!  Especially the dog episode.  There was some very funny quips in that one.

The Americans. 7/10

A married couple are long term Russian spies living in America. Then an FBI spy catcher moves in to the neighbourhood.

Watched the first 3 episodes. Pretty easy going.

I agree OA was interesting. Jason Isacks played nice baddy. I'm liking the slower character development the Netflix produced program have. Currently watching Luke Cage.

Next month sees the end of my ANZ One card so will end up closing us Netflix account and starting new NZ one.

[Michael J Fox has Parkinson's, not MS. Sorry to be pedantic.]

Ah thanks!  You're right.  I am mistaken.  In any event, he is doing really well using it in his role.  But yeah, I stand corrected.

The Ranch, watched the second season. Hard Hitting Comedy with Ashton Kutcher and the other stoner from that 70's show. I meant to watch 1 episode but literally couldn't stop and finished it all in 2 sittings.  I can't recommend it enough, but it's emotional and hard.

Halfway through season 1 of A Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix. I haven't read the books and I don't really remember the movie from about a decade ago, or if I even watched the whole thing.

Quite quirky, but the villains have a somewhat uncomfortable mix of being comically inept but also murderously sinister which makes for a strange and uneven overall tone.

Will save judgement until I've finished the season.

My daughter has read all the books and loves it, she wasn't as taken with the movie adaptation

Watched EP 1 and it feels remarkably like Pushing Daisies, which is a fantastic show if you want to check it out.

Apparently the series is closer to the books, but how much closer I couldn't say.

The series was adapted by the author but a review I read says it's not as good as the books. I haven't watched it.
