Today's annoyance is myself. Namely, being dumb enough to try to get fast food on a Friday night and expecting it to be fast.

The black hole of wasted time you get sucked into if you allow the credit card details on an Apple family device to expire:

"your card has expired"

-try to renew card

"you need to remove this card"

- try to remove card

"this card can't be modified because it is expired"

- idevice gets a float test

It looks like the easiest way will be to kick the kids out of the family group.  Just need to decide whether to limit this to the Apple family group or not...

That the MetService don't know where their warnings are for:

Just received....

Area: Canterbury Plains and foothills about and south of the Rangiora
River, Christchurch, North Otago and Dunedin

There is NO Rangiora River near Christchurch.... from Wikipedia:

The Rangiora River is a river of the Wellington Region of the North Island of New Zealand. It is a tributary of the Waikanae River, which it joins 5 kilometres (3 mi) southeast of Waikanae.

Geez, the warning is for a big area - do they read what they write?

And their Christchurch (Rakaia) Radar is down for maintenance! So we can't see what is coming, if anything.

The "supposed" overlapping coverage is useless. (From previous events)

Saturday just after lunch time, coming back from Porirua we'd decided to at BP to fuel.  Not too deep queues - only one car waiting on each of the eight pumps - with one empty pump (#2), which convienently was on the correct side for my car's fuel opening.

I stop there and start pumping when I see the person in the queue for pump #1 back and change line - I then look at the guy stopped on pump #1. He was eating his pie, while playing on his phone and his son was sitting next to him drinking... something.

The guy stayed there for the whole time it took me to fuel, go inside, waiting in the cashier's line and pay. Just eating and playing on the phone, while people waited in the queue. I pointed it out the cashier and when she turned around to push a button, that's when he finished up and moved out of the station.

The idiot couldn't even have moved to a parking bay? What kind of selfish egotistical bastard monster completely disregard the needs of others for his own comfort? Ah, right, a selfish egotistical bastard monster would do it.

Many times I wished cars had rockets that would automatically unlock and drivers allowed to fire someone's sorry ass if an infraction was being commited. This would be a "social infraction" in my books.

I hate to say it, but when seeing behaviour like that I sometimes often get the feeling that it's not "completely disregarding the needs of others", but in fact of them being fully aware of how what they're doing impacts on others, and worse than not giving a damn, they do it on purpose.
