freitasm:

Saturday just after lunch time, coming back from Porirua we'd decided to at BP to fuel.  Not too deep queues - only one car waiting on each of the eight pumps - with one empty pump (#2), which convienently was on the correct side for my car's fuel opening.

I stop there and start pumping when I see the person in the queue for pump #1 back and change line - I then look at the guy stopped on pump #1. He was eating his pie, while playing on his phone and his son was sitting next to him drinking... something.

The guy stayed there for the whole time it took me to fuel, go inside, waiting in the cashier's line and pay. Just eating and playing on the phone, while people waited in the queue. I pointed it out the cashier and when she turned around to push a button, that's when he finished up and moved out of the station.

The idiot couldn't even have moved to a parking bay? What kind of selfish egotistical bastard monster completely disregard the needs of others for his own comfort? Ah, right, a selfish egotistical bastard monster would do it.

Many times I wished cars had rockets that would automatically unlock and drivers allowed to fire someone's sorry ass if an infraction was being commited. This would be a "social infraction" in my books.

You could also post this in the "Something That Makes You Smile" section because you were leaving Porirua...! Every cloud has a silver lining...

An app called "Hiya" blocks at least some of those.

It's to a landline. (App won't help)

Already had the 4th one today! All 03-23 /25 /26 prefix on Caller ID.

No wonder so many are ditching landlines!

When you type a novel into Skype only to get back "(blah) can't receive messages". It shouldn't let you type if they can't receive it!

This.

This is on a billboard on the side of a building on Wakefield Street, Wellington

So, are ANZ not acknowledging the South Island or Stewart Island then?

Whoops, they shipped the Queen Street sign to Wellington, and some idiot put it up.

Fred99:

I hate to say it, but when seeing behaviour like that I sometimes often get the feeling that it's not "completely disregarding the needs of others", but in fact of them being fully aware of how what they're doing impacts on others, and worse than not giving a damn, they do it on purpose.

A famous study done a while ago showed that people took LONGER to get into their car and leave a parking space if they knew someone was actively waiting to pull in.

GSManiac:

People who use iPhones incorrectly such as: not using iMessage.

I have iMessage turned off because it was buggy, it would work if I was on a wifi network but then never send a message if I was out.  Each text reported an error.  Google showed it wasn't uncommon, and the fix was to disable iMessage.  Actually it was slightly more than that, disable iMessage and then delete every text from the person you were having the issue with, having existing iMessages seems to make the bug sticky.

WOF mechanics changing settings in the car and not reversing those changes. And why was there a need to check what the heater is like at 27C anyway?
